Tappy Nooks closed before I could sell all I had.
If anyone has good prices this evening or tomorrow post em here!

Mine were 66 all day today.

I think he meant that he was doing a fruit run and found one on a tree without fruit. Spiders are like bagworms they will fall out of non fruit trees/spruces.

I just got mine today. Check to be sure you are hunting during the right times for him too. He may only be out in the evening.

No spiders fall from fruit trees with fruit and they are there during the day. The trick is pulling your net from your letters fast enough to catch him.

If you miss it the first time, re-shake the tree.

Ugh I am having zero luck with hybrids! I'll keep trying, though! Any advice?

If anyone still needs to sell their turnips, Nook is buying them for 189 here. My town is open, but I might not be around.

Re: The Offical Animal Crossing: City Folks Thread.

Hope everyone remembered to set their town clocks ahead before buying turnips! I'm not sure that the hour change would cause them to rot or not. Anyway, I find it a little silly that the Wii internal clock changed automatically yet Animal Crossing requires you to do it. Odd. Oh well, happy hunting this week!

I did not change my clocks and was wondering why Joan was still there. The Wii's clock changed? That's strange because I thought the Animal Crossing clock was synched up with the Wii. Oh well, I'll change it today. It shouldn't affect your turnips because you are moving forward.

Re: The Offical Animal Crossing: City Folks Thread.

I had the same worry. I figured I'd just leave the clock off by 1 hour (which gives me an extra hour of Nooks time anyway) until I sell off all my turnips. I didn't want to just ahead an hour and come home a a basement full of rotted turnips.

We forgot to do ours. My wii did not sync automatically so we set it and the game synced to that automatically. The turnips were fine.

Is there any benefit to getting the windmill or lighthouse?

The windmill is supposed to help you get the perfect town rating, and the lighthouse is supposed to increase the chances for rare fish to appear.

So if you already have a perfect town you should go for the lighthouse? I already have the gold watercan.

It also helps you maintain it. I don't know if it has any effect on hybrid flower growth. I went for the lighthouse. They should have let you get both.

I have the perfect town also so I didn't worry about the lighthouse.

How do you plant and arrange your flowers? There has to be space for them to grow into and certain combos will produce nothing. Especially with the cosmos flower.

Also the better you town rating the more hybrids grow I think. My town is not perfect yet, but I average about 1 a day now. Lately its either a pink or orange rose. Roses have the most variety to mix about.

I have alot of roses and alot of tulips and cosmos about. Pansies the least. But have waaay more rose hybrids than tulip or cosmos.

All the other flowers besides roses seem stingy in what they produce and the combos you can use to make their hybrids.

It's weird, cause it shows me your town is open with 3 guests. I have some stuff to get done but I'm sure we'll see each other tomorrow.

Oh wow! that is weird! I gave up altogether after numerous attempts at opening my gate. I wonder if it was a Nintendo issue rather than my own wifi.

Re: The Offical Animal Crossing: City Folks Thread.

I had turnips for 122 yesterday (I paid 109) so I held off on selling. Hope someone gets good prices this week, as I bought about 300k worth on Sunday .

Re: The Offical Animal Crossing: City Folks Thread.

This afternoon we confirmed that we're on the decreasing pattern this week, so count us out for good prices at all. Hopefully there's something good this evening elsewhere on the board!

Quick question: If you don't have the Wii Speaker, can you type messages to each other when you're online?
