I have played it on 3 separate occasions...first time I unlocked the bus and a few venues. The next time I played it all my progress had been lost and I was back where I had to unlock the van. Bit frustrating, but I figured it was a fluke. When I fired it up this weekend, same thing, all progress had been lost and I was back to the venue to unlock the van. All clothing was reset, stars, etc. However, the overall score hasn't changed. In fact, I seem to be getting the same achievements each time as well.

This has me a bit concerned...I don't want to play a marathon session and then have it reset on me. Anybody else experience this? (I know RB1 autosaved, do I need to manually save at the end of a session?)

There is a known bug that seems to show up if you are playing multiplayer with a Live enabled gamertag and a non-Live enabled tag simultaneously. I have not heard of save deletion happening at any other time. I have logged a good share of hours into both solo and tour modes (several hours a day since launch), and have not run into any problems.

Are you turning off your xbox or the game right after playing a song, or do you back out to the practice space?

I always get the "saving progress" pop-up when backing out to the practice space after playing a song. So that may be what you need to do.

My guess is you are playing with no fail mode on.

Didn't even think of that. Thought that mode was only for toddlers and old folks.

I'm waiting for Amadou & Mariam, which is African music.

But re: Perfekte Welle... has anyone else seen a fill-in lead singer being of the wrong sex before? This was the first time I'd ever noticed it.

Often.

I'm in for every Nirvana track.

Getting this programming right seems pretty elementary.

But I do wonder why I've never noticed it before.

The sex of the singer is determined, from what I can tell, based on the first song in your session. After that, that's your band's singer and who you get through the rest until you start a new session.

That make sense. It was a three song set with She Sells Sanctuary as the first song in the set. Hence the generic "rock" dude. I guess I just never thought about who was singing until I could use my own character. Thanks.

For those that have DLC'd some Crue, which of the songs are the most fun to play? I just don't really feel the need to have the entire album. I love me some Blood Sugar Sex Magic, but its just too damn much of the RCPs.

I was thinking S.O.S., Kickstart My Heart and Don't Go Away Mad.

pinata242 10-20-08 11:50 AM

Check the charts: http://www.youtube.com/user/Npeaen

Kickstart

Don't Go Away Mad  just looks boring to me.

I might go back for S.O.S. one day. I also got Dr. Feelgood.

Mok 10-20-08 12:02 PM

I think the songs that are most fun actually are the lesser known ones. Like Slice of Your Pie , Rattlesnake Shake, & Sticky Sweet.

Nah, I did use the code to unlock all the songs, but I have it unchecked when playing world tour. I do only have 1 gamertag logged into live, I guess I could create a couple silver accounts to see if that helps.

I also back out all the way to the "start" screen before shutting down.

I think I will create a new band and see if it was just a problem with that save file.

I'd be happy to trade with you.. I happen to like the black finish better than the woodgrain.

Dr. Feelgood had a pretty fun chart too IMO. Kickstart My Heart kicked my ass at first on hard until I got used to it.

Well I decided to get the complete RB2 bundle (for PS3) yesterday morning. very glad I did. I didn't even know about the auto-calibrate with the guitar until it started asking me to hold the guitar up to the speaker. Very cool upgrade. The instrument feels pretty good to me right now.

I'll still get the full GH:WT kit too, so I guess I'll have two drumkits.

I totally forgot you have to unlock songs in career mode before you can quickplay some of them. I was looking for Panic Attack and Battery which were nowhere to be found. I assume a lot of the metal stuff gets unlocked in the European cities.

So far, absolute worst song is that piece of %^^& from the Libyans. Ugh. Aqualung isn't too hot either.

I don't want to get anywhere near that Slice of Pie solo. Instant fail.

Depends on what your hometown city is.

Bit of advice for all new players to unlock songs. Play through the decade Tour Challenges. These unlock the "Infinite" Decades Challenges which unlocks every song from a decade for quickplay.

Up for starting a DVDTalk PS3 band? Anyone else on here get the PS3 version yet?

Ahh cool. I think with RB1 I just used the code but this time I intend to unlock them through gameplay.

Just saw Down With The Sickness for the first time which also kicked my ass on Hard. Need to get my chops back.

Oh OK. I set it to Chicago since I'm well, from Chicago. Lots of imagination there. I haven't gotten the jet yet.

Well...they can't all be "Visions" right? What's that? Oh....just wait.
