Still have to hold off a bit on the 360. Hopefully after Christmas will be in a better situation.

Will be a pain if they cant get the songs to play off the SD, and use the internal memory as a cache like WT is supposed to do.

There have been some mixed messages in gaming press, but I’m happy to confirm that the Wii Guitar Hero 3 guitar will be compatible with Rock Band 2 for the Wii. We wanted to clarify for all the Wii Rockers that have expressed confusion regarding this compatibility, and reassure that Harmonix will continue to advocate wide-ranging compatibility for instruments across music platforms.
http://www.rockband.com/forums/showthread.php?t=91443

wOOt! If the drums are also compatible all I will need to buy is the disc. Still need clarification that the WT drums will work.

Anyone getting this?

FACT:
Every single song available for Rock Band 2 (DLC included) has been programmed ...

Quote from IGN review:
"PDP collaborated with Harmonix to program in-game cues into Rock Band and Rock Band 2. Beyond the obvious benefits of utilizing programmed cues rather than shoddy sound sensors, the Rock Band Stage Kit is not only able to react to tracks in perfect time, it is also capable of replicating lighting colors of the in-game venues. While not exactly quiet or subtle, the fog machine fills any given room with sizable clouds during slower sequences of music. For impressive flashes of texturized light, the strobe lamp is located just below the spout of the fog machine."

Decided to try Battery on Expert Guitar and managed to 3* it on sightread in quickplay. I started the Impossible Guitar Challenge and passed each of the songs save for Painkiller. By that time I was getting tired anyway and kept failing at the end of the 1st solo. I saved the list and now I'll be able to pass it soon. w00t!

That stage kit was supposed to come out late last year or early this year. It has been pushed back so many times, it's not even funny.

If it ever sees the light of day, you best believe I'm getting one!

IGN has videos of the AC/DC stuff up. However, they seem to all be in medium, and the players still suck.

FYI, I noticed the 'Picture' function on RockBand.com is now almost instantaneous, if anyone still hasn't messed with it.

I could have sworn I saw that stage kit at gamestop 6 weeks ago... maybe it was a pre-order box? It was the first I had heard of it, so I know I saw it there... and immediately came back to work and made fun of it.

Admittedly, I only watched like two songs (Thunderstruck and You Shook Me All Night Long), and they were both on lower difficulties.

Is there a Best Buy $10 off $75 coupon floating around I can use on Rock Band 2 this weekend? The only one I can find expires today.

Not positive, but most coupons negate GH and RB in the fine print.

Not if you're buying just the software.

Rock Central is down and I'm scared to be awesome when it's not going directly to the leaderboards. I'm thinking of re-FCing the songs I've gotten in the last tier of vocals so I can take pictures and make an awesome mural of incredibleness.

Has anyone ordered merch from Rockband.com yet? The shirts rule but I haven't gotten around to making a sweet picture to put on one.

EDIT: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6PEOewHo7Gc
You're welcome

So, are they only going to sell the hardware with a copy of the game or will they sell the instrument set without a copy? Would suck for those that already plopped cash down to get the game only to then have to turn around and buy another copy to get the new instruments.
