Really? Awesome.

Michael Corvin 10-07-08 08:49 AM

How do you change the resolution?

I submitted mine yesterday after lunch.

Yeah, I guess the 'sometimes it can take a minute' thing is pretty much bullshit... I left the status bar window open for this last one I tried...it's been nearly 30 minutes and it's not even a quarter finished... I guess everyone decided with no OFFSPRING songs to play, they might as well use the picture creator :)

Looks like some pretty good DLC today.

Offspring DLC Updates:

Our Audio Team is trying to get hold of Microsoft to find out what the issue is and I believe they have a meeting set up for 10:30am. I will report back as soon as I have more information.

And that's how I spent the first 15 minutes of my day. Not ignoring the issue, or laughing at posters struggling with the DLC, or shooting the breeze around the water cooler.

For what it's worth, we anticipate that the solution is as simple as a flip of a switch or the check of a box (there are just lots of them, so things like this can occasionally happen), so all of you will probably know when it's fixed before I do!

If it does happen to be some sort of earth rending Microsoft Server-Apocalypse, we will be sure let you know.

Do you guys think this is what Web Bot foresaw for the 10/7 catastrophe?!?

So the monkeys forgot to flip a switch.

redbill 10-07-08 11:12 AM

dude goes to work at 10:05? And to fix the problem, they send an email to microsoft? I guess they don't give anyone a direct support line...

lordwow 10-07-08 11:22 AM

I most places I've worked, no one calls, everything is done through email unless it's urgent.

No one calls anymore unless its a 5 alarm emergency. They probably have a direct contact to email for their corporate issues.

I just got in to the office @ 9:15...

GoVegan 10-07-08 11:40 AM

They probably don't want to pay that $250 per incident fee for phone support.

pinata242 10-07-08 11:46 AM

You know the worst part of this Offspring delay really is? The possibility of Locksley Part Deux. I see no reason to give jdpatri any reason to celebrate.

Microsoft better have this fixed before Thursday.

You can get the hi-res 3000x2000 version of the pic out of the URL when you create merch.

right click on the create merch link and copy the link location.

basically this is the whole url

cut it down to

Offspring aside, I picked up the other three I wanted during lunch:

All on guitar:
Free All Right Now - pretty boring on Hard. It's a fun tune though and should be better with a full band.

George Thorogood Bad to the Bone - pretty fun. Slow in parts, but has a couple of fun solos. Boring as hell on Bass.

Static-X Push It - Pretty repetitive and definitely tests your pinky dexterity, but is a fun one to play.

That's exactly how I would feel if it happened!

I'll attempt to post a pic of my drummer that I made:

Hey, I did spoiler tag it! -ptth-

I'm going to petition to Harmonix to render at 8000x6000 as well.

I'm totally going to see if I can download some Offspring right now. And whatever the outcome, just assume that I'm rocking out to some Pretty Fly.

Michael Corvin 10-07-08 02:34 PM

Here's a giant ass one of my group. Kinda odd it places the band logo over the characters. (and no I didn't intentionally make Cheapy D my lead singer).
