Lego Batman: The Video Game!

This will be another one I borrow from my local (comic/movie) geeky friends when they're done and blaze through it. I do look forward to it, but not enough to spend actual money on.

Can you let me know if this game supports in-level saves? It drove me nuts in Indy when after playing a single level for 30 minutes with my daughter, I would have to turn off the system and lose all the progress because I hadn't completely finished a level.

This game is awesome!! My boys are playing it right now and it is a blast just watching it. Batman's glide suit & Robin's magnetic shoes are a riot! I can't wait until they go to bed so I can get some action on it.
...and from what I see in the start/pause menu, you can't save mid-level.

I picked mine up for the 360 today at Gamestop. They had a free keychain when you pre-ordered. We got there at 10, expecting to find a good keychain, and the manager says they received no Batman's, no Joker's, even no Robin's. Only Catwoman.
I chose the free poster instead.
As for the game, I loved Lego Star Wars, and Lego Indy, but Lego Batman falls short, IMO. It's an original story, not based on any of the movies. It's too difficult, and by that I mean you're fighting an early boss, and dying every 5 seconds, which means you're losing your studs, and that sucks.
I'll finish this, and trade it back in at Gamestop by the end of the week. It's too bad, I was really looking forward to this.

Got my 360 copy this evening. Looking forward to playing it. My Gamestop also only got Catwoman, which is actually what I wanted, since I got Lego Batman and Joker at Comic Con.

While I'm really interested in this game, I couldn't help but notice all the copies of Lego Indiana Jones at all the local Game Crazies and Game Stops. For whatever reason, that game really seemed to be a play-then-sell title, and I just couldn't justify paying full price for it if I could buy it for a lot less in a couple of months.
I'll definitely get it second hand though.

Lego Batman is from the same team that designed Lego Star Wars I and II, and definitely has more features than Lego Indy. I enjoyed Lego Indy, but it definitely felt like LSW part III. I'm hoping Lego Batman opens things up a little.

Worst of it? He's a manager at a local swap shop and could easily get me a replacement copy for what they buy it from the kids for and make good. But, remember, he's an asshole.
Sorry for the rant. I do look forward to borrowing his copy of Lego Batman, however.

It's definitely a Lego game, but I've enjoyed everything they've given us thus far.
I went rental this time, because there's just so much coming up in the next few months. I'm sure I'll be able to burn through it over the next week. Very fun so far.

Really wanting to play this, but I'm waiting for it to hit $19-29 before I pick it up (same with Indy). These games are fun as hell, but they're awfully short, and going back through it two or three times to get all the extras and Achievements gets old, no matter how fun the games are.
Also, is there a demo up for the 360?
