Just got back from playing the drums in Best Buy. Other than the fact that the game is fugly and the hit detection on the yellow cymbal seemed a little off, I'm in love.

Is that achievement list ALL the achievements in the game or are there non-secret ones. Also does anyone know if the PS3 version is going to have trophies?

I'm not so sure. It's an original arrangement. If I were Activision I would pull it to be safe.

WTF? Why is this so hard for developers to do? Trophies have been out for several months now and there are still just a handful of titles. You can't tell me it was too late in the GH dev-cycle to put them in when Uncharted got them a year after they released.

I'd say it's probably because they're not enforced like Achievements are. If Sony had them in from the start, and said "All titles must feature Trophies to be released on the PS3", then it wouldn't be an issue.

Yeah, you're probably right. GH:WT doesn't care what console they sell their copies on so long as they sell, so if achievements help sales on the 360 and hurt on PS3 they're fine with it.

No offense guys but if you were that into "achievement" type rewards in your games, you should, <s>have gone with a 360</s> have factored them in higher when choosing a platform. Trophies were clearly an afterthought [cough]ripoff[/cough] after they took off on the 360 and it shows by the support they have gotten thus far. I know that's going to come off as 'dick-ish' but, :shrug: it is what it is.

They aren't that big a deal to me honestly. It's just GH is probably the only type of game where I could actually get most of the really hard ones so I'm pissed I don't have them :)

It is cool to see/have some of the trophies from playing a certain game but definitely not a dealbreaker nor system seller for me. I'll take the Blu-Ray capablities of my PS3 anyday over forced gamer rewards.

Keep your shorts on, Bub. It's basic marketing 101. I agree that it is a bit silly, but it's not like it hasn't been a common practice for years for tons of products/properties.

I realize that it's common practice, and even mentioned that my beloved Rock Band does the same thing for their "official" throne. I just think it's fucking silly.

What is really silly is that there are plenty of people out there who will actually buy this particular throne because it has the GH name and logo slapped on it, thinking "hey, this one must be the best- it's the official one!!!"

I've heard that the full kit bundle will be really hard to get in Canada as the whole country apparently only got a 1000 copies or something. And every canadian website i go to pre-order is says they're sold out already (futureshop.ca, bestbuy.ca amazon.ca)

So yeah i really hope i'll be able to get my hand on it at some point!

Can't wait to play through it though! I recently bought RB2 last sunday for the PS3 and i've been having some fun on it (lots of 'meh' songs on it though).

I think it has more to do with the fact that average people can walk into a game store/BB/CC/etc. and buy one without going to an actual music store(with head hung low in shame) :lol:.

I don't see why the chair is that big of a deal. Most people probably don't think about it and just use some random chair they have around the house, and when they see it, it will probably make them think it would be convenient to use (at a marked up price!).
