I played the old games with my wife all the time. She wants to play this new one together. Since the questions are set up exactly the same I would be sleeping on the couch if I played an episode without her first. :lol:

If a scheduled day/time gets, well, scheduled, I'd be in. I'd like to play online but not with rerunners or annoying players.

The game's length might fight against pick-up-and-play online games. With only 73-83 episodes, each one lasting 10-15 minutes, I'm assuming people can't jump into a game that's started, but even if so, a lot of people [except the aforementioned rerunners] either start playing with people they know and play a bunch of games, or just play a few games and stop.
I looked for a game last night around midnight but didn't find any.

Can you play online and offline, ie, two people on a couch versus up to two more online? Yes that might be in the book but, well, I didn't read it.

Oh yeah, and as a long time YDKJ fan, this one definitely has the same vibe. That's a good thing. And I don't mind that it doesn't have Kinect support.

I think playing against a rerunner would be more annoying than someone who doesn't answer any questions. Although that's like a choice between dropping a bowling ball or a brick on your foot.

As always, it was good playing Gramps. I hate having to replay episodes locally just to get the prizes I stupidly missed.

I've actually had a couple of episodes where, even after finishing, I have no idea where the wrong answer was. I'm not sure if I was just burned out at the end of the night or if they get harder as the episodes go. Probably just the former.

Finally got to play this. SO awesome. Totally true to the original but better. I used to play alone at work when the internet first came out so I've just been doing that so far (or, as the manual says, "If you have no friends..."), but we'll have some people over this weekend and give it a shot. Way cool they put this out, and for $29.99 you really can't go wrong...

So apparently you can't get the worst answer of the game if you're being screwed at the time. I KNOW that I picked the right wrong answer for the Insincere Greeting Card Company (Because I just know it) and I didn't get credit because some moron screwed me... I knew the right answer, but opted to go for the 8000 instead. And I got fucked. FUCK YOU COOKIE MASTERSON!

Same here, and I really think it just varies from episode to episode. I've been playing the episodes mostly in order, and there's an occasional tricky one mixed in between obvious ones.

That was one of the trickier ones. There was an earlier answer that I thought would fit, something about Disney greeting cards for the mothers of characters and one of the choices was Jasmine from Aladdin. Incensere Greeting Cards? Anyone? No? I was clearly overthinking it.

I've been playing a few episodes each night with my wife, which is why I haven't done any online. Honestly, I don't even really have the desire to do any online games with it at this point. It seems like a lot would be lost with talking over the headset. 2-4 people in a room playing together? Yes. Trying to worry about conversations on headsets and pay attention to the jokey jokes? No.

Also..congrats to A Patch of Blue for ruling the leaderboards. I wish he'd get cancer.

Most people playing this game online either say nothing or just laugh at the jokes. I haven't really missed any jokes by playing online. But it's cool...be anti-social...no problem...

Well that may change things then...I don't know...there's just something about YDKJ that feels like it would be lost by playing with others not in the room. Maybe because with my wife and I it's not competitive at all and if I played online with folks it might get too FTW FOR REALZ.

Grrrr. Two consecutive games I've been disconnected from XBL, the first time actually as the final scores are being displayed so I didn't get credit for the WAotG I got earlier. Everything else in the house is working fine and there's nothing on @XboxSupport that it's happening to anyone but me. Fantastic.

Love this game, been too long since I've played it, and it's great to introduce it to newcomers. I only wish you can play extended sessions, like in The Ride. Like the addition of the Wrong Answer of the game...I played a number of sessions yesterday, got the wrong answer purposefully once, and accidentally twice (along with a friend who got the same two)...was relieved that it netted me $8k.

By the way, if anybody wants to add me on PSN, I am bluetoast2. Just put a message saying who you are from DVDTalk though.

I don't mind this achievement. I just think they missed the mark by picking a "primarily outside" holiday. Thanksgiving would have made more sense since you're more likely to have a bunch of family/friends just hanging around and it would be fun. July 4th gets in the way of being outside.

I refuse to disconnect from XBL to change the date just for this ;)
