Age Of Booty is pretty fun, but I don't know if I want to drop the 800 bones on it. I'm going to wait and see what RB DLC hits tuesday first.

Portal: Still Alive on 10/22!

Finally I can experience this without further ruining my gamerscore completion percentage by putting the full Orange Box in.

Spoiler:
Don't you judge me!

You are invited to return to the Aperture Science Enrichment Center this Wednesday, October 22 at 9 a.m. GMT (2:00 a.m. PDT) via Xbox LIVE Arcade. Due to the unforeseen conclusion of your last visit, all necessary precautions have been taken to ensure that “Portal: Still Alive” is a sanitary, objective, and mostly non-lethal testing environment.

In addition to the original award winning first-person puzzle experience, Aperture Science is proud to provide 14 new challenge maps exclusive to Xbox LIVE Arcade. Six advanced maps will also be provided to help guide you along the way.

Though prior test subjects proved to be unstable and may have presented false information, Aperture Science is pleased to inform you that your cake is indeed waiting for you and that the Weighted Companion Cube misses you in your absence.

Please review the following incentivizing memorandum:.

Your prompt compliance is appreciated and will once again help us help you help us all.

My wife hates when I play GLadOS on Rock Band 2...it still cracks me up everytime I hear it.

The cake is a lie.

My wife loves that song, and requests that I play it when she's just sitting and watching.

Since I already have the Orange Box, there's no way I'm dropping another $15 just for a few new levels. Booooo.

Age of booty demo is kind of fun but I don't think I would buy this game unless maybe I had some more discount points

My wife thinks I'm nuts to play that one.

And I'm with Uncle Gramps -- Love Portal, but not enough to spend 1200 points on a couple new levels. If it's a significant increase in contents, that might make me change my mind.

I wonder how big a download this will be -- it would have to be the largest XBLA file by a lot, I'd imagine.

Checking purchase rates on 360voice.com for the past two weeks, we had one minor hit and a bunch of duds. First day purchase numbers:

CrazyMouse - 59
Age Of Booty -- 383
MLB Stickball -- 176
Beat'n Groovy -- 94
Shadow Assault/Tenchu -- 112

I thought the demo of the Tenchu game was kind of cool.

I thought stickball was kind of neat, tenchu was cool but niche, age of booty fun but didn't think it would do all that well.

* Thumbs down for Talisman cancellation as well

* Crazy Mouse - What the heck? That's the slowest moving mouse I've ever seen, and maybe it helps if I read the directions but I didn't really get the point of the boomerang level or the sample level 16. Nice effort, but not for me.

* BootyPlunder: Not bad for an RTS which I'm not usually into. It looks like there are only 21 single player campaign missions, so I don't know how much longevity it would have if you're not playing MP, but I'll have to think about this one. It's odd, the last points I got, I got a decent deal on, but I'm being stingy with them.

Is there some point at which an XBLA game has enough girth to drop that adorable "Arcade" moniker and just be, you know, a game? Weighing in at 629 MB, Portal: Still Alive seems to be pretty close to that limit. That means that if you're not sporting a hard drive in your 360, you're pretty much out of luck. It also means that the previously announced 350 MB limit has just been kicked in the teeth.
Wow.

Age of Booty was ok but made me want to play a genuine complete pirate game so I put in Sid Meier's Pirates, which you can also download off the 'classic games' in the marketplace. Its still a great game.

Penny Arcade Episode 2 is coming 10/29 for the bargain price of $15. I sure wish they could offer a 2-pack for $20 or $25 as I never gave the first a chance for it's ridiculous price.

IGN has a preview of Peggle up. Early '09 release (sigh). They say it's not a port (but sure sounds like one) and will have two multiplayer modes.

Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader is also coming out this week for $15 with 6000 questions. Jeff Foxworthy is apparently one of the undead in XBLA land.

Also free Marble Blast Ultra DLC.

I'm looking forward to the free MBU content. $15 Fifth Grader? Not so much, but who knows, it might be well implemented. I thought that it was going to be part of that community game-show thing that was supposed to be part of the Fall Update, then got delayed -- I guess not.

Ok honestly what is wrong with Foxworthy that is beyond scary, and free Marble ultra blast is awesome

Wasn't Penny Arcade Vol 2 supposed to be coming out tomorrow as well? I couldnt imagine a worse time to release an action RPG on the 360 than within a week of both Fable 2 and Fallout 3, but that's what I could have sworn I had read.

Yeah, it's even listed as 10/29 on its game page on Xbox.com, so...

What's the DLC for Marble Blast Ultra? Haven't played that in awhile...used to have a blast playing other people on XBL in that game.

No official word yet, but it appears to be a map pack. There are also three new achievements as well.
