Re: XBLA Thread Part thrizzee (3)
I agree entirely on Magic. I have been having a ball playing the thing. I really need a more complete game though - one that will allow me to really customize my decks.

They need to sort out the lock-up issues. I'm stuck on the co-op campaign because the game is broken.

Re: XBLA Thread Part thrizzee (3)
Yep. Magic on XBLA is a blast, and I absolutely hate the real thing.

Re: XBLA Thread Part thrizzee (3)
I'll try that, but I'm not holding out hope for it. The system totally locks up and even my A/V receiver stops getting a signal as all the lights go out.

sf2hd is beginning to piss me off. Either I lose or the person I'm beating quits...

Some of the challenges on Worms 2 are a blast (I'm looking at you, level 30!) .. Lots of fun, and my kids are loving it as much as I am .. I've never done Forts before, so that is up next after the challenges are done.

For the few of you that don't have this game it is well worth it and it has dlc to expand the value also.
I bought it a while back because I loved the demo. Turns out they give you enough in the demo that I quickly tired of the full game. |

Wow, they finally offer something that I haven't already bought!
I'm only moderately interested in it, though. |

That's a little disappointing -- in the past, the 800 point XBLA games that were DOTW all were discounted to 400 points. Hope this isn't the new trend (but it most likely is).

Major updated the price as it was supposed to be 50% off the whole time. I wonder what (if anything) they'll do for people who bought it in the interim.

Re: XBLA Thread Part thrizzee (3)
I forgot about Lode Runner. Which begs the question:
What 3 games are you waiting on for a price drop? Lode Runner Roboblitz Go Go Break Steady |
Re: XBLA Thread Part thrizzee (3)
Penny Arcade Episode 2
Portal: Still Alive Puzzle Quest: Galactrix Apparently if you want me to not buy your game immediately, you start it with a P. |
Re: XBLA Thread Part thrizzee (3)
Looks like Summer of Arcade is officially starting next week (YMMV depending on your last few weeks' preferences).
According to Destructiod: http://www.destructoid.com/next-week...e-138760.phtml http://bulk.destructoid.com/ul/13876...ialedition.jpg LucasArts has announced that The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition will be hit both Xbox LIVE Arcade and Steam for PC next week, on July 15. The enhanced remake of the original PC title, Secret of Monkey Island, features new character art, environments, and supports up to 1080i widescreen resolution. It features a fancy new re-recorded and re-mastered score, a streamlined interface, as well as all-new voice work. The game will run players on Xbox 360 800 MS Points, which translates to $9.99 on Steam. Who’s thinking about picking this one up? |
Re: XBLA Thread Part thrizzee (3)
800 points = sold for me too. As long as the controls aren't too terrible.
|
Re: XBLA Thread Part thrizzee (3)
It's a point-and-click, how terrible could they be?
|
Re: XBLA Thread Part thrizzee (3)
No mouse is a big change. I've said that since the beginning. I found Sam & Max unplayable.
But I'm hoping my nostalgia for MI will see me through. It's a computer with USB ports! Support a fucking mouse, Microsoft! |
Re: XBLA Thread Part thrizzee (3)
Sam & Max took some time to get used to, but it's OK now I find. I think the interface is different on MOnkey - I saw a video of it last week somewhere, but i forget.

I might just mention that there are some nice deals to be had on ebay (assuming you find a decent seller). I bought Puzzle Quest Galactrix for $9, N+, Uno Rush and Connect 4 for $6 each and just bought Worms 2 for $6 yesterday. Of course, there are discounted points up the wazoo as well. It makes the price point much more tolerable than it would otherwise be.

Send me a PM if interested. And L&O, please explain how that Bing thing works, because I looked and couldn't figure it out. |
