I think I'm going to pass on it too, for now. The reviews of the DS version being the primary reason. Once it drops to 1200 or even 800 points, I might reconsider.

Re: XBLA Thread Part thrizzee (3)
Wolf 3D and Call of Duty coming to XBLA.
|
Re: XBLA Thread Part thrizzee (3)
Okay, Wolf 3D out of the way, Doom II rumored..
After those can I please get Heretic and Hexen? PLEASE?! |
Re: XBLA Thread Part thrizzee (3)
Am I alone in wishing they'd allow keyboard/mouse play for those games? Wolf3D is simple enough that the controller is enough, but once you start getting into Doom, Duke, Heretic, Hexen, Quake, Quake Arena, etc I really think you need to have more responsive, quicker controls.

Re: XBLA Thread Part thrizzee (3)
The Peggle challenges are beating my ass on a regular basis. But damn if I don't have fun! :)

Re: XBLA Thread Part thrizzee (3)
I didn't start until Quake, but even Doom benefited from the mouse in death match. Sure vertical aiming wasn't necessary, but having quick turning and extra buttons on your steering hand sure helped.

Re: XBLA Thread Part thrizzee (3)
I know, I know. I just wish it! Civilization too, for that matter. It's already a PC, just support the shit and let the games decide what USB devices to enable.

Re: XBLA Thread Part thrizzee (3)
I want ROTT.
|
Re: XBLA Thread Part thrizzee (3)
I loved making maps in Rise of the Triad and Doom.
I wonder if my Doom II deathmatch mod, pinata2.wad, is still hanging around somewhere... |
Re: XBLA Thread Part thrizzee (3)
Was ROTT the one that had the LSD cheat code?

Re: XBLA Thread Part thrizzee (3)
I remember a JOHNWOO cheat code, but not LSD.

Don't fuck around with me, Trevor
I'm going to look when I get home if I managed to save it all these years. |
Re: XBLA Thread Part thrizzee (3)
I was big into quake 3 mods. I was too stupid to figure out doom 2 mods

Re: XBLA Thread Part thrizzee (3)
Deal of the week starting 3/30 is Alien Hominid for 400 points.
End of January I got my 360, and literally every game I purchased to go with my 360 has now gone on sale with these deals of the weeks. Braid, Alien Hominid, and Fable (although I did get the Lost Chapters version.) So I assume Castle Crashers, Uno, Pub Games and Street Fighter will all go on sale very soon as well since I've also purchased those. |
Re: XBLA Thread Part thrizzee (3)
I know this is still totally O/T, but I found it. If anyone wants it, let me know. A little teaser, here's the text file (dated 9/4/1996 ) that accompanied it.

Re: XBLA Thread Part thrizzee (3)
Wow Uno Rush is actually really fun. I knew I should not have played the demo.

I can't wait to try local four player matches.. oh yes.. they will be great. |
Re: XBLA Thread Part thrizzee (3)
Purchase number for Uno Rush on 360voice.com was 789. Not a bomb by any means, but not a hit either. Peggle was 2386 for comparison. Wish I could find Hasbro purchase numbers, but I can't since they have that sillly "free" front end and that's what shows.
I'm still trying to decide between Uno Rush and Yatzee. Leaning towards Yatzee since I can play that with my daughter and Uno Rush will move too fast for her. |

Totally going to sign up this tylerb guy for some boner pill spam. |
Re: XBLA Thread Part thrizzee (3)
I honestly doubt there's a list it isn't on at this point.

Re: XBLA Thread Part thrizzee (3)
I suck at Tower Defense.
I think I bought Crystal Defenders on accident. Or on an impulse. Or drunkenly. That's twice now. |
