Yes and yes. Especially the first one with YDKJ

Yeah, I have the first as well and it's great. Wasn't really interested in the second one.

Every time I hear about how great the PSN sales are, especially compared to Microsoft, I excitedly look at the list and am underwhelmed. Must just be my tastes in games  That said, picking up God of War. Glad I passed on the physical version when it was $10 in a few places, since digital works better for me.

Jack Packs are excellent, especially the first (love Drawful and Fibbage)

Drawful is amazingly fun. The stand-alone sequel just came out.

Spoiler:
Two colors!

Re: Official PSN Games Thread

Yeah, I think they knew they had a hit when Drawful came to consoles. The combination of Smartphone / TV device worked really well on that one and it's much more fun than Draw Something.

Picked up Q*bert rebooted and holy christ is the control a mess. It's like it just randomly goes where it wants when you least want it to.

Yeah, that's kind of what I'd heard. I liked Q*bert back in the day and it seemed that at this price and with a free theme, that it had to be worth picking up. But reading reviews, I don't think so. What a bummer. How hard could it be to remake such a simplistic game.

I am tempted to grab Soma for $12. Anyone play it?

Yep. It was #12 in my favorite games of 2015 list.

Q*Bert always had questionable controls though. I don't think I've ever played a game where he didn't jump somewhere I didn't intend him to go.

Anyways, I was curious whether or not this would be worth it, but sounds like that's a negative.

Four-way movement was hard and frustrating enough. Trying to use a thumbstick to accurately move in one of six directions sounds neigh-impossible.

Decker must be on vacation.

Flash sale is up. Might pick up Last of Us remastered for $7.99

I got when it was on sale. Finish and enjoyed it but the loading time from save game is terrible.

Yea...The Last of Us at $8.00 is a steal.....and for kids Knack at the same price is worth it especially for newer PS4 owners

The Questyen 07-16-16 10:18 PM

Re: Official PSN Games Thread

Other then it being a platformer Knack is quite difficult. It's a harder game then The Last of Us so probably not the best choice if you're getting it just for children.

Michael Corvin 07-16-16 10:21 PM

Re: Official PSN Games Thread

I don't remember Knack being all that difficult. Then again it was a pretty forgettable experience.

K&AJones 07-17-16 02:17 PM

Re: Official PSN Games Thread

It's straight forward and the couch co-op part is the best experience for a Parent & Kid. Getting one of the upgraded "Knacks" makes it even better. The game looks good, plays simple, no harsh language or blood everywhere

Adam Tyner 07-17-16 07:23 PM

Honestly, I don't consider Knack to be a platformer...or, at least, that's not the first word I'd use to describe it. I mean, you jump, of course, but precision jumping challenges really aren't a primary element of the game. It's a pretty straightahead, almost old-school brawler. It's not a great game, but I enjoyed it way more than I thought I would...to the point that I finished it in one marathon sitting.

It's pretty easy on the default difficulty, but I did play the companion app a bunch before hand, and that gave me a bit of a leg up.

Has anyone played "Saturday Morning RPG" and if so is it worth the $9.99?

I feel like it's due for a sale.

Been playing Song of the Deep and it's pretty great.

If you enjoy "metroid-vania" type games at all, you should check this out. It's fun clever and flat out beautiful. And it's from Insomniac, who are all about quality more often than not. Easily worth the $15 asking price.

Finished it a couple days ago and yeah if you even have the slightest interest in those style of games it's a no brainer at that price. With that said I enjoyed it far less then I thought I would. The charm kind of washes away after the first three hours or so and then it got to be a little tedious. It's also incredibly buggy which I wouldn't expect from an Insomniac product. I got stuck in the environment 7 or 8 times where I had to restart the game and twice I went through the save spots, the game told me it saved and then it didn't and I had to restart at the previous save spot. This happened once right after the most annoying chase sequence in the game so then I had to do it all over again.

It had an update since you finished it - probably fixed some bugs.
