Re: Official PSN Games Thread

Damn. I just bought Far Cry at Best Buy for $12. Probably not worth the $3 to return and get the digital version.

I'd love to get Teraway but man, too many deals. My wallet(and my unplayed pile) is begging for mercy.

Re: Official PSN Games Thread

I'm so underwhelmed with these free PS4 games ... every month I tell myself not to get excited, because it will surely be junk. But then in the last few days I start to hope, "Maybe this month will be the month we'll get something GOOD?!" Nope.

Re: Official PSN Games Thread

Just wanted to ask real quick, any other must haves or recommendations for PS4 exclusives right now that might be worth it to buy right now while I have the 20% off coupon? I'm going to go ahead and get Bloodborne and Everybody's Gone ot the Rapture. Should I just get The Old Hunters too? Has that been discounted at all or should I just add it now since it would be discounted? Any other of the current games on sale? I assume it probably isn't worth waiting to use it before it expires in 2 months and this sale is probably my best bet.

Keep in mind I have an XBox One and PC, so cross platform titles I might have already played there.

Old Hunters is really fun. New bosses, new weapons (I loved the Whirligig saw). Worth the $20 I spent.

Re: Official PSN Games Thread

I want Until Dawn but 20% off full price doesn't seem worth it to me at the moment. That seems like something I can definitely wait on. I'm tempted by SOMA, heard some good things about it.

Until Dawn can easily be beaten in a 1-2 day rental from Redbox. And it's still great.

You're welcome.

I was off by three months. Not bad. And you're still welcome.

@Fumanstan, I know this won't be a popular choice but I just finished The Order:1886 and thought it was quite good. Definitely worth playing. It doesn't reinvent the wheel or anything but gameplay is solid and the production values (sound, visuals, voice acting) are top notch; one of the best I've seen in a while. Plus you can get it cheap or "rent" it from Gamestop as you can easily plat it in a few nights depending on your play time.

Re: Official PSN Games Thread

The Order 1886 has shown up on sale for $10 once or twice. That's the right price.

It may be very good, but to someone who doesn't like like adventure games, it's just another dumb adventure game PS+ has thrown at us.

Apparently, adventure games don't sell, so the only way they can get people to play them is to give them away for free.

I lost my 20% coupon. My wife thinks she recycled it by mistake.

I actually do want to play The Order! It's $20 normally, so I could get 20% off of that which makes it somewhat close to the $10 it currently is at Gamestop. Hmm...

Yeah, i'm glad I noticed it. I didn't really pay attention until I started seeing some people mention it on Cheap Ass Gamer and I actually looked at the pamphlet in the box.

Re: Official PSN Games Thread

Ok, decided to just buy Bloodborne, The Old Hunters, and Everybody's Gone to the Rapture. I'll probably pick up The Order sometime after getting through some of my backlog and/or just borrow or rent it. I've still got the Uncharted collection to play that came with the system anyway.

I'll have to let Telltale know that adventure games don't sell.
