I think I'm out for tonight. Got a few other games I'd like to play, especially if L&O wants to drum.

If for some reason L&O can't make it and you need a drummer, send me an invite when you're ready to play and I'll try to make it on.

Hey, Gramps, does your wife have a Gold account or just Silver?

If I have to do the vocal part on my end, I'm trying to figure out what options I have since I'm the only Gold in the house. I suppose "guest" accounts work, but I know my daughter would love the points as she's turning into quite the achievement whore herself, but I haven't let her even be Silver yet.

She's got a Gold account due to wanting to play Rock Band with her friends online (and since we found cheap Live membership cards). You could always try playing online with a second account (Silver) logged in and see what happens.

I was the tiniest bit sad to send it back because i liked the cut from the Nirvana Unplugged album. I would kill to get that full album as DLC. Soul Doubt though was the song i was really looking forward to singing and it just wasn't as fun as i thought it would be and the career was really aggravating. I worked my way through some of it so when my brother came over we would have songs unlocked to play together. Then i had to still use a cheat code because it hadn't unlocked them for him on guitar. That was the final straw for me.

I'm kind of stoked to be on the short list of DVDTalk vocalists though.

Also, i'm pretty sure Carrot has a Gold account.

I might be good for tonight depending on how late you guys are on. I can drum on hard or expert (most songs) and can play expert bass or generally expert guitar.

Rented GH:WT and brought it back before the due date because it was really bad. Horrible piece of shit is horrible. It's ridiculous the things they fucked up that smacked me in the face as obvious to include.

OTOH, Rock Revolution is way better than expected and easily demolishes GH:WT. Expect review soon

The way I see it is...

Rock band 2 is near perfect. Even the bad songs are OK, awesome menus and cool venue progression.

GHWT's progression is bad, I like the character creation better I think, the songs are either great or horrible, no middle ground, and the game seems 'cheap' compared to RB2.

Rock revolution also surprised me. The track list kicks huge ass, the song variants are kinda cool/different, the music studio is easy to use, but the strings coming straight down instead of angled back gives me vertigo and seizures, lol.

That sucks, dude.

Hopefully you aren't out too long. Too bad about missing out on your 100 wins on SSF2THD next week.

So rabbit's back. Anybody want to try for the 100% achievements again?

Guitarists: rabbit, cartman(?)
Bassists: me, Corvin(?)
Drummers: Gramps, L&O
Vocalists: Test Tone Generator by Esser Audio with Carrot and anybody else that wants to just sit there and run the app. I can give the settings I found that work flawlessly.

I'm open tonight if we can get a band together.

That's hilarious (the test tone generator thing).

I won't be able to be on tonight, more likely tomorrow though.

I'll do guitar tonight if y'all want. What time, and what songs should I already perfect?

I could probably make it tonight. I'll see if Carrot's interested in running the tone generator.

Like this. I used headphones with the left earpiece over the mic on expert even. Notice I put it to stereo, but disabled the right channel. Couldn't even hear it while I was playing guitar. Might test the settings to make sure you're getting 100% to work it out.

I may have to try this for some of the songs I just cannot get gold on.

I didn't realize you guys played regularly. I've been playing mostly with a friend of mine on guitar and me on vocals. Haven't done the full group thing yet. I think you guys have WAY more DLC than I do so it's kind of hard for me to join in. But if any of you want to do the No Doubt tracks that would be Hella Good!

I'm here all week folks! Tip your waitress!

It won't work for anything but the "talky" parts in songs as you'd have to find a way to adjust the pitch real-time.

Anytime. I'll probably be on around 8:30 CST anyway, but can be on earlier if needed.

Sounds good to me. If not I can run the vocals if any other drummer wants to step up.

Re: Official RB & GH:WT Band Auditions Thread: Our Last Drummer Exploded

I'm looking to get some quality Rock Band 2 full band (or minus singer :/ ) action going on tonight with me on drums (or guitar if I must). Any takers?

What's your setlist gonna be? Depending on that, I can expert guitar/bass & hard vocals at the same time, I just need to know the tunes because If I don't know the words, I'm kinda screwed. I sneak a peek at the vocals chart from time to time to make sure of pitch, but if I have to look at the words... well.

Er, whatever we feel like playing? I'll toss you and rabbit an invite round about the time I see both of you on.

That was fun.. sorry I was delayed at work and couldn't join when rabbit was there. Maybe next time so there's a full band.
