Yes you do, because the one you find will also get worse after use. It's a never ending cycle, but you should have one really good (repaired) version in your inventory then use the others to keep it that way. To repair without another of the same item you have to pay a NPC to repair up to their skill level.

Next dumb question: How do I get into Rivet City? I found the way through the first section of the ship to the door underwater, but now I'm stranded in the water between the two ship halves. Doesn't really help that its night out too and I can't see shit.

That's actually the 2nd part of the ship (quest area), the main entrance is on land, there is a ramp that goes up to a crosswalk over the water to the main part of the ship.

Oh well, I did them backwards. I ended up finding the intercom to get the bridge sent over. I already told Hawkness he's a robot.

I just found all the bobbleheads last night (finally)! Completed every side quest and am almost finished with the main quest as well. I have The Pitt, Not From This World and the Outcasts DLCs to finish then I can finally (hopefully) put this game to rest. Wow what an experience it has been.

I was just reading through the cast of voices for this game on iMDb and came across:

Ron Perlman ... Narrator (voice)

Can someone please tell me when/where in this game there is a narrator? I've been playing since Christmas and I'm at a Level 18, and I've never heard a narrator voice, let alone one that I'd recognize like Ron's.

It's at the very beginning. I can't recall for sure, but I think he might also narrate the ending.

People really need to play the originals :( It makes the "war never changes" line awesome to hear again :)

No kidding. A person whose reaction is "Huh?" at the "War. War never changes." line is not a true Fallout fan in my opinion. That's almost as bad as going "Huh?" at "Luke, I am your father."

So who here has discovered EVERY location in the game?

I played it 125 hours or so my first go round, beat every mission, found all the bobbleheads, etc. When I finally got the GOTY and started the expansions, I unlocked the Explorer perk or whatever it's called, and discovered there were probably 30-40 locations I had never been to. I was just like :wtf:.

Spiderbite 02-18-10 10:04 PM

Re: The Fallout 3 Thread Of Exploding Teddy Bears

How does that Explorer perk work? I saw it and thought about getting it as I would like to hit every location before finish the game (or is it better to finish the main quest and then do the complete exploration?)

I am at a level 23 now. Does the leveling up and XP points just end at level 30 or doe sit keep going until you can purchase everything. I ask this because even though I am pretty close to hitting 30, I am a far cry away from touching every location.

Explorer shows every location on the map, but you still have to walk to them to actually "discover" them. You can't fast travel there.

I forgot about that. Thanks!

I FINALLY got my Power Armor training last night. I wonder how much more game there is for me to do yet.
