Netflix coming exclusively to Xbox 360 'at no additional cost'

We heard the rumblings ... Netflix is coming to home consoles. But which platform? Microsoft raised its hand today at its E3 keynote and said "us!" Xbox 360 will be getting Netflix's on-demand programming later this year. Xbox Live subscribers that already have Netflix memberships can enjoy Netflix on their TV at no additional cost.

I just can't imagine that this news will end up being as good as it sounds. Will there be a limit on how many we can watch?
Then again, maybe this is how Microsoft will make the "no more physical media" thing have teeth?

Watching instantly on your TV via your Xbox 360 will be available to Netflix members in the late fall of 2008. Watching movies & TV episodes instantly on your TV from Netflix via your Xbox 360 will be included with most plans. You'll choose from a separate, smaller library of over 10,000 movies & TV episodes. With most membership plans, you can watch as many movies from this library as you want - anytime you want - instantly on your PC or via a Netflix ready device on your TV. This will be a bonus to the DVDs you get by mail and will be included with your membership at no additional fee. To watch instantly on your Xbox 360 you will need an Xbox LIVE Gold membership.

And I just got a Roku box as a gift. 
Oh well, I'll switch over and use the 360 for Netflix viewing on my main TV and move the Roku box to the bedroom or guest room. Very cool news.

Don't get too excited. I've browsed the Netflix "view it now" library, and there's hardly anything worth viewing ever, let alone "now".
It's mostly crap. NONE of the movies they showed as options during the conference are actual choices.

That would be suck for hearing impaired people... No closed caption. I tried to use the Netflix's Watch It Now, it doesn't have closed caption.Come on, FCC, do something.

So there will be no need for a PC for this to work? I'm a Mac guy so that would be nice.

Excited about this and hope that if more people utilize it, then we will get more movies available to stream. If not, then it wont be that useful, but free is always great.

Which is, of course, a bit aggravating for those of us without the desire to play a game online. I would love to be able to watch movies on my Xbox, but do not care in the slightest about playing against someone. So, the only option would be to purchase Gold exclusively for the ability to watch movies, which seems counterprodutive in a financial capacity.
