The fixes are all detailed in a blog posting here:

From my gameplay experience, the main difference is decreased shooting accuracy, especially on the rush. Aiming for the corners is especially difficult. Scoring goals almost always comes the "hard way" now, by cycling the puck looking for one timers or getting the goalie to drop.
The other big problem I've noticed, which is detailed in the post, is that they drastically increased the height of puck dump flips. This makes that play strategy a more viable option, but more pucks also go over the boards, as well. This wouldn't be such a big deal, but teams are penalized 2 mins for flipping over the boards from inside their own defensive zone. Computer players (on both your side and against) trying to kill a penatly will flip the puck this way and add event more penalty minutes and men down to their current deficiency. It needs to be dialed back a bit.
The wrist shot glitch mainly consisted of holding the skill stick towards your shooting hand to prep the wrister and then firing into one of the corners as you neared the tops of the circles. It got abused to the high heavens online and became many team's third period strategy.
There are some other little changes, like being able to hold vision control in front of the net on the attack so you can try to tip the puck in without drawing interference because the controller thinks you want to check.
It's a good patch, it just needs some tweaks. Hopefully the next one gets it just right.
