Where's the excitement? I can't go to gaming sites at work, and I'm not getting anything here.

Neither of Sony or Nintendo's press conferences have started yet.

What time do the PC's start?

Nintendo started 50 minutes ago. Sony starts at 11:30am PST. (1 hour, 40 minutes).

So far, it doesn't look like Nintendo is giving me a reason to keep my Wii. :(

I hope Sony can give us some decent news and a good surprise or two. That Nintendo conference was a bit depressing.

Outside of the snowboarding game (I'll wait for reviews) and GTA I saw nothing that interested me from Nintendo. I was hoping for a hard drive announcement and for a first party "hardcore" game.

Without seeing a demonstration, Wii Music sounds like a cross between those plastic instruments for 3 year olds where you press a note to play a song and those retarded Guitar Hero: Air Guitar things.

At least you won't be judged for sucking. I guess that's good right? :hscratch:

For those who missed the Nintendo conference, here's a summary: "We're #1 in sales, so unlike the competitors we don't have to do shit. To prove that, we're announcing no new games. And to show just how confident we are we're going to let some old lady who thinks she's "cool" do most of the presentation!"

Sony cannot do the same thing that Nintendo did earlier or they are done for.

But I do hope that there is some exciting announcement. Nintendo's conference fell very short. MS, right now, is the one to beat with announcements and upcoming titles.

Hell the 1:1 was the most exciting thing, and it wasn't even released during the presser.

And even that one was "eh" after the Gears of War 2 footage (and the Square stuff at the end).

No. What I meant to write was that they have to announce some big exclusive games for the PS3 which Nintendo did not do.

Done for? Honestly, I don't think having a huge E3 announcement means what it used to. It's nice that you still see Microsoft come out with big news, but really I don't think these things are that big of a deal over regular announcements.

Sony needs a few big surprises here, or Microsoft will walk away with the best E3 conference. Announcing the next God of War is like saying that there will be a Madden 2010.

I'm really sad that Nintendo didn't knock the cover off the ball. Animal Crossing on the Wii will be cool, but they have so many cool franchises up their sleeves that they don't exploit enough.

Announcing GoW3 is like saying that GoW PSP game had a back cover on its instruction book. Meaning, it was already announced. Showing it or giving info is a different thing. They did show it, but game no new info or timeframe.

True, but Sony just stood up there and exclaimed "God of War 3 is coming to the PS3!!" like we had no idea.

It looks like the PS3 conference is over now....

Outside of God of War 3, R&C expansion and LBP I'm not too interested in much else from Sony's camp.

Their presentation seemed much better than Nintendo but definitely lacked the 1-2-3 punch of Microsoft's Dash Redesign, Netflix and FFXIII.
