Well bubble beats alien projections.

No.
I just tried out MM9 right after going through MM2 and 9 is much, much more difficult.

Mega Man II is the oddball though. You get the Metal Blade first and you can coast through the game. 9 is more in line with 1 though.

If you haven't gotten there yet, the mini-boss on Hornet Man's stage is a giant pain in the ass. However, Hornet Man himself was actually fairly easy.

The part on Tornado Man's stage with the moving red and blue platforms?! Talk about frustrating...

This game is cool, but I like what they did with Bionic Commando much better.

What. The. Hell.

I would be surprised if this game cost much less than $500,000.

So, what's the verdict on platform of choice? Wii?

Decided to download this (on the Wii) over the weekend.

SOME levels were hard... but I'd say 4 of them were incredibly easy.
I did get stuck in the first stage of Wily's castle, but finally figured it out

Spoiler:
The part with the 3 instant-kill giant flame thingers

I'm on the third stage of Wily's castle now, but decided to take a break.

Overall, I LOVE this game!! If Capcom keeps releasing them, I'll keep buying them! I haven't bothered with the extra downloadable content yet. Is it worth the 200+300 Wii points?

There's something special about playing a new Mega Man game on a Nintendo console, especially when you play it using the remote sideways.

There's a new level available for download today on Wii, later in the week for 360 and PS3.

http://kotaku.com/5065854/more-mega-...dlc-+-fake-man

Special Time Attack Stage – This DLC gives you an additional stage for Time Attack Mode, complete with an all new level and Robot Master Boss, “Fake Man.” Similar in difficulty to the Willy Stages, players will have a fun time tackling this time sensitive competitive stage. Special Time Attack Stage is not compatible with Challenge Mode.
The quote actually says "Willy", but I assume they mean Wily.

Should be $1 for the add-on.

I am stuck at Wily. His 2nd form is a bitch and a half, I shudder to think what else lies ahead of me. The bosses are too easy once you know which weapon they are weakest against.

In fact, pretty much the entire game is fairly easy once you figure out the stages. I replayed the game and got through most of the stages fairly quickly.

Passed the game last night.
Downloaded ProtoMan. Going to pass the game that way now.
Can't wait for the next one!
