Diablo 3 anniversary event will make it easier for you to get legendaries

I noticed that the legendary recipes now show up as stars on the map. Damn trickery!

thx for the info. i may log on some this weekend. i have been trying to get into Path of Exile. It is definitely cool and dark, but it is much slower than D3.

Nope!

I've gone back and been playing again for the last 2-3 weeks with a friend on the 360. It's the only game I'm playing on it and might end up getting the RoS version for it and the PS4.

When the PC version of Ros came out not long ago they had a "Extra XP Weekend"....console users not invited. Now celebrating the two year old birthday...again console players not invited.

Me and my friend are playing all the characters and each has three at "60", one at "53" and one at "25". I know some will say console players already get great drops and I can tell from playing that's not always the case. A few nights of playing 3+ hrs between us we might get 2-3 Legendaries but drops out of chests or special enemies....it's whites, some blues, pages, handfull of gold and here and there a gold item....this is Nightmare, Hell and even Inferno mode.

Blizzard has always made games for PC users, you guys should feel lucky they even bothered making console versions! That was surely a decision forced onto them by Activision to make more money. But at the end of the day, Blizzard doesn't care about console owners.

Blizzard has been making games for PC only for since 1999. You look at Diablo 3 with the botched itemization and real money auction house and it's clear that there are some money-men making decisions.

I worked there for 8+ years, I know the history pretty well. As much as everyone wants to believe otherwise, Activision Blizzard has little influence on the company. Wanting to make more money? Sure, just like any other company out there.

And just because they're traditionally a PC game company doesn't mean they don't care about console owners based on the lack of events on the console version of D3 :lol:

Activision or not, the money men almost ruined Diablo 3. George Bush cares about black people more than Blizzard cares about console owners. They don't make console games because console owners disgust them, and frankly, they disgust me too.

I don't disagree with D3 almost being ruined. :shrug: The second part is just stupid given the console version of D3 was arguably better, but ok.

Doesn't the console version have an offline mode? Probably why these events can't be added. It'd require deploying a patch rather than a hotfix. Wouldn't be worth the hassle just for a limited time event.

As I see it the anniversary is for the "game"...not just on what it's played on. Lucky to have it..sure I am and so are several thousands out there playing the 360 and PS3 version. But other games have had so-called special weekends with loot, gear, skins, XP, etc on the PS3 and 360. It's not like developing a entire DLC new mode and playthru. Gears, Halo, Borderlands, COD....they all did stuff like this all the time. Not getting the "Double XP" weekend was one thing and now this....

Just because that's how you see it doesn't change that the events for PC have coincided with the release of RoS for PC (not yet out on consoles) and the anniversary of the PC release (not yet for consoles). You can complain if they don't do anything for the console release :)

Cannot speak for other console players but most I feel understand the relationship betwen Diablo and PC gamers. We also know when Diablo III was annouced for console many in the PC community looked at that as blasphemy, how dare Blizzard do that.Yea, with RoS out we see it something special and annticipated for awhile for PC players to and that it was developed for PC first and foremost with console later on.

But it's like RoS came out, bugs, patches, updates, double Xp weekend and now this...just for pc and we're like ok...are we getting something or what...Last night we played and brought it up and would've been happy with anything...Extra 10% Gold Pickup. We're still looking forward to RoS....in my case probably both 360 (current playing on) and PS4 which I'm sure looks and plays amazing. And this weekend still continue to play as well....yesterday is history.

on a side note, the event is making legendaries drop like candy. none of them are any good, but damn if i don't have a bunch of souls now.

yesterday was a great day in the vball diablo world. i completed my Zuni's set, then got a Tall Man's finger and Takser's. off we go doing a crap ton of damage. Then my buddy completed the Jade Harvester set for his WD. he and i drug a 3rd person through a T3 rift laughing the whole time because it was so easy. there is a jump between T3 and T4, one that i'm sure i can handle with the right group though. my fetishes crit for about 10mil each, 2x a second (yes, its a lot). The giant Zombie Dog hits for between 25-30mil, but about 1x a second. Garg hits for a good 50-60 mil. this is all without BBV, which makes it just silly.

then the end of last night, i got me a thunderfury. omg. so much fun. so yea, if you're on PC and looking to do rifts, look for me. i know WJL and Krazie are both on my friends list, but we need to play. i'll be doing T3+ rifts all weekend i'm sure.

Yeah, thunderfury is nice. So far I have one for my barb and one for my wd. I need to find a dex one for my monk so I can have one for each stat lol

Was going to finally try out the Crusader class but the legendary drop rates are too good to pass up. Ran some rifts with my friends and a lot were dropping, nothing great but it's always nice to get the crafting mats. I just hit 70 on my monk earlier in the week but I'm all ready able to solo master.. maybe T1. With enchanting you can really get your gear where you need it to be. I play in hardcore mode so there's not much room for fuck ups.

Womens small and just tie one side in a "fashion knot"....if anything make a good Night Shirt. Dad & daughter Night Shirts...see...problem solved. And yea that one looks relly cool. Shame it doesn't wrap around the backside some.

I am beginning to hate enchanting. I've spent about 22 million gold trying to roll crit on my helm. It now costs freaking ~1.9 mill a roll. Also I found the stupid set version of mask of jeram. I was hoping for a new legendary one with better stats so I could reroll at a cheaper rate lol

Just curious for the PC players on how the drop loot went...better, the same or what? Reason why I'm asking is lately we've been seeing some really erratic loot drops, both none and some (console). Last week Thursday and Friday between me and my co-op pal we got maybe 5-6 in nearly 6hrs of play. At one point I did the Kings Crypt run where you have to go thru three crypts to find the crown and do Fields of Misery...not one Legendary.

Then on Saturday with bad weather we played almost 6-7 hrs and the flood gates opened. We got probably 20 Legendaries between us and at least (5) were the "Green Ones" along with (8) Crafting Books we didn't have.

I checked the official Battle Net Diablo forums and saw what looked like the same patterns from the pc crowd. Like nothing for a few hours then bam, two in 10 minutes. Or someone in a group get nothing all night while the others getting one an hour.Just curious as I said.
