The argument they're making is that you're paying for content.

A CD with 20 4-minute songs or 10 8-minute songs both have 80 minutes' worth of musical content.

As far as a video game goes, look at it this way: Zelda could have 10 worlds that take 10 hours each to complete or 4 worlds that each take 25 hours to complete. Either way, it takes 100 hours to finish the game.

I know that, and that's the point I was trying to make. It was thelwig14 that was calling that notion dumb and moronic.

And now confirmed on Metallica's site - http://metallica.com/index.asp?item=601800

For 360 and PS3 at least, with other versions coming later.

The pre-order bonus for this bad-boy on PS3 and 360 at Gamestop is another pedal with splitter so you can do the double-bass pedal parts without buying extra hardware (I'm sure these are only compatible w/ the WT drums.)

The GH pedals aren't compatible with the RB drum sets, are they? I ask because I have an RB1 set with no pedal and a new pedal would be nice to complete the set.

I wonder how they will tier the songs. I guess For Whom The Bell Tolls is probably the easiest Metallica song. Will Master of Puppets be the hardest? Any other thoughts on what the hardest tier songs will be?

Will they have to easy up some songs just so there is a progression rather than just a whole disk of hard songs?

They also sell this kit called something like The Hit Set at Best Buy that has a new pedal along with some sticks for like $20.

Seek and Destroy and Enter Sandman should be in Easy too. Anything from Load/Reload too.

Believe it or not, MOP is not so hard to play as it is fast. Extremely fast.

I think I've learned my lesson after seeing how deeply discounted GH: Aerosmith got here in the last couple of months. I'm waiting for clearance prices on this one.

I would love for you to be able to port over various songs onto the GH:WT tracklist. Very few of the "other artist" songs interest me, but the thought of playing Thin Lizzy would make me a happy camper.

Quick question.
Do you have to buy that $40 Metallica CD at BB to get the Death Magnetic songs or can you get them from XBOX live without buying the CD?

I have to say the only songs I'm really missing are Four Horsemen and Damage Inc. Everything else from the classic records is great.

Fuck yeah!

I figured they might overload it with Death Magnetic tracks and fuck me over since I bought the album...but only one.

That setlist is goddamn amazing.

Re: [It's not a Rumah] Guitar Hero: Metallica ... ?

I'm shocked than none of the songs from the Rock Band Metallica 3 pack are in the game. Less duplication is fine by me.

I would love to have that Bob Seger cut.
