Any success in having BB match CC and give you a $10 gift card?

Sorry, should have listed details. Check your inbox for an email from buy.com that gives you 25 off a purchase of 75 or more.

I just picked it up at CC, and I bought the Live year card for 40 minus 10 for the GC.

Hmmm, you know what? It was limit 2 per household on pre-order, now it's limit 5 for actual order. I'm smelling a $20 off soon, i'll wait a bit (of course, the downside is that i might lose the coupon).

I was thinking the same thing and wait it out for a price drop but it seems like PS3 SEs seem to become a lot harder to find than 360 SEs. I'm still having a hard time finding a new Devil May Cry 4 SE without dealing with the vultures on ebay.

Check Blockbuster as it seems that they might have a copy or two of this. I know mine did but they want 79.99 plus tax for it I believe

Just to help clarify, I read that the $25 off $75 purchase at buy.com DOES NOT require a coupon or anything like that. It is for anyone who has not made a purchase over $75 at buy.com using google checkout. So you might not get an e mail (I didn't), just add something to your cart (GTA4SE) and the new total will come up ($64.99) Hope that helps.

Radioshack has a coupon for $10 off over $40. And if you buy GTA4 you get a $10 gift card. So you get GTA4 for $49.99 and a $10 gift card to radio shack.

YMMV, but I got the (last copy of the) 360 SE at Circuit City, and since she had trouble ringing up my Gamers Savings Club card and the free ten dollar gift card, she eventually just manually took 19.00 off the price of the game (and kept the gift card, of course). Technically I guess it says "GSC cannot stack with other offers and is only good on regular price", but I have had it stack with sale prices before, though I haven't tried a free GC offer.
And yeah, Michael, I'm the same way. I very rarely buy games full price or at launch because there's very few games I know or think will be worth full price at launch for me (ironically enough, two of the past four have been Shin Megami Tensei games, and I was right).
It's a rule, if you wait long enough, odds are 100 to 1 that prices on all these tech toys will drop for the new version, you can get more for the same price (CoD4:GotY), or it will at least be available used, generally cheaper. Do I want to play it now, and is it worth the premium.

Anybody know if they'll match the CC $10 GC offer AND the 360 system $50 GC inhouse deal?

...if you're lucky. The $25-off has never worked for me. More power to those lucky bastards that get it.

It shouldn't. Still it's worth asking, I guess. As a rule, they won't double-up on deals though.

Despite planning to go to CC, I decided it wasn't worth it to deal with their awful service and fight L.A. traffic at 5 PM to get to the nearest location, so I just bought it at the Gamestop right next to where I work. No special deal, but I saved on gas and time. I might still go to CC a little later in the week to get Condemned and the Xbox Live card, though.

I went to Best Buy and used my Reward Zone rebate and some of my HD DVD gift card to get the game for free (well at least out of my pocket). They also matched the $10 gift card from CC so all in all a good deal.

Considering the freezing issues on the PS3 I'm kind of glad it was free.

Same thing here, but I did have to go to the CS desk for the $10 gift card.

There was plenty of stock left behind the counter. I got the last 360 version that was out on the display table.

I picked mine up at Best Buy and didn't have to ask for the gift card. In fact, they had a display set up at the front of the store with all the GTA merchandise and a sign listing the gift card offer.

No problem getting the $10 GC from BB here, they just had to call CC and verify that they had copies still in stock, which they did of course.
