I'd like to see a 2-D version of almost anything with the criteria above. One of the great things (to me) about the DS is that it's slightly underpowered, so the majority of games are 2d (though a lot of the 3d games, like Dragon Quest Monsters, are great). I really wish Odin Sphere would've sold well, so that we'd see more studios invest in 2D on the more powerful consoles (imagine Odin Sphere without slowdown...)

Well I finally found an Arkanoid paddle at a price I was willing to pay ($30) so bring on Arkanoid and Space Invaders Extreme. I had to settle for a silver paddle, but I think it will look ok on my white DS.

I just pulled out Contra 4 for the first time in a few months.

It kicked my ass so I put it away for a while longer.

So...the DS Download channel on the Wii already worked on me. Downloaded Crosswords, tried it out, and proceeded to go buy it the same day.

Great game, I just wish there was a word jumble built in.

A well implemented zoom function would sort that out I guess.

The only suggestion I have for Contra 4 is to take it slow - you're not timed, so just kinda go step by step and take care to notice all the obstacles in front of you, and you should do better.

Sometimes I think I need to stop playing any games other than 2D games like Contra and Mega Man for a while just so I can get more used to that style of game again. I used to be able to great at games like that, but years of 3D has really screwed me up in that regard.

I respectfully disagree, but to be fair, I seem to be in the minority on this one.

I'm starting to play it more now that I'm done with GTA IV and I don't think I can go that far, but I will concede top 10 and maybe top 5 by the time I finish if it keeps getting better. It is a pretty amazing game and needs credit for originality, gameplay, art style and some decent dialog and writing overall. A+ DS title.

Got a link to purchase? Would it make sense to do one international order and just use a 41-cent stamp to redistribute domestically? I don't know what the cost of international shipping is.

It's definitely a game that gets better and better the further in you get.

Joshua is now my favorite RPG character of all time. What a douchebag.

Sexcellent! I will be getting myself a set or two as well. This will be a requirement for the upcoming DQ games.

Let's see, there's a Blue and a Red Slime.. I bet they're asshole enough to make a Metal Slime as a chase item.

So much for trying to get a rise out of Pixy.

Do you get both for $5 or just a choice of blue or orange? I definitely want to order a set.

The photo says "Two Piece Set" but NCSX's preorder page has an option to select a color so it's likely they are sold separately. I'm not sure how Play-Asia will handle it but hopefully they'll either update their item page or understand that somebody ordering two was looking for both colors, they don't ship until July though. I thought it was both in one package at first and ordered two to have one "sealed" set but I'll settle for one of each if that's the case.

Apparently a second Shiren the Wanderer game is coming out for the DS. It's supposed to be a remake of the second Gameboy game and not the N64 Shiren the Wanderer 2. Updated graphics, balancing, Wi-Fi features and new dungeons are expected.
