Xbox360 with VGA cable?

I got a new TV and since my 360 doesnt have the HDMI, im exploring the VGA option. The color is pretty washed out at first look. I remember there was some kind of fix for this out there? Since I cant search for VGA in this forum, anyone know what to do to get a good HD pic out of VGA? Or should I stick with Component?

I connect my 360 to my TV using the VGA cable, and the color doesn't look washed out to me at all. TV is a Sharp Aquos LCD.

I use the VGA cable to hook my 360 up to my widescreen PC monitor, and it does not look washed out to me either.

I use a VGA cable for the projector in the bedroom since the pre-HDMI 360's will only upconvert thru VGA and everything looks fine to me.

Are you sure it's not the settings on your tv when you hook vga up to it? I'd check your menu.

Check avsforums for the configuration settings for VGA for your TV. I also use VGA with no color issues.

Is it washed out for games or dvds? There are different video settings for dvd playback.

As soon as i connected it to my new tv via component it was on vivid and super shocking. I put it on vga and it was perhaps the difference that surprised me. I tweaked the dashboard settings to 1080p and it took some time adjusting so now its much better.
