Driving Setup is done (sort of) ... with pics if anyone is interested

Hey guys I am thinking about getting one of these http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...goods&v=glance
UPDATE: Ordered the chair, $199 shipped

I am going to set it up in the game room with a MAME cabinet, some other pins etc.

Here is what I would like to know ...

1. Which system to go with (ie who has the best driving games) XBOX 360, PS3, Computer??
UPDATE: Gonna go 360 for now since I have the 360, a wheel, and Forza 2 already

2. I would REALLY like to get the Logitech G25 wheel and shifter but as I read its only for PS3/PC is this true no 360 or adapter to make it work on the 360??

3. I would of course need to mount a TV in front for playing -- I would be about 5 feet back and am thinking a 32" might be about right ... thoughts.

4. Lastly what speaker setup would be best -- some sort of Logitech 5.1 system maybe??
UPDATE: Decided to go with the Pioneer HTS-G1 system. Found it for $129 + tax from Walmart.com ship to a local store

Thanks for your input in advance!!

EDIT -- 2/22/2008

So I sort of got this set up last night and it was awesome. Lots of things to tweak and do but this is gonna be fun.

Here is how it ended up for now:

Playseat Evolution
MS Wireless Wheel
XBOX 360 Pro (Falcon with HDMI)
Forza 2, PGR4, PGR3, DIRT, Nascar 08, NFS Most Wanted
Playseat Slider seat adapter (being shipped to me so not here yet)
Playseat MS Wheel adapter (being shipped to me so not here yet)
42" HP 1080p LCD
Logitech X-540 Speaker setup -- went with this over the Pioneer Setup I mentioned**BIG MISTAKE**
Buttkicker Gamer Edition

Things to do:

(1) Get a table for the LCD. It's on a box at the moment so I need to get it on its permanent spot

(2) Build a platform to put the seat on. Having it on the floor is too low to the ground so I am going to have to build a platform at least 12-16" tall to raise it up some.

(3) Switch out the Logitech x-540 speakers ... these are AWFUL!! I picked up the Pioneer setup at lunch today and those Logitechs are out of here!!

(4) Once the stand and platform are ready get all the cables routed, tied down and run correctly so they are not in the way.

(5) Tweak the Buttkicker -- some parts is was perfect, other parts not so good. Just need some fine tuning in this area and we should be good to go.

All in all this was great last night. It takes a lot of getting used to when driving (I did well in PGR4 but HORRIBLE in Forza 2). This was really a lot of fun and I look forward to playing some more this w/e if I can get the time.

Anyway I just thought I would update things here in case anyone was interested. I will try to get some pics of the awful makeshift setup I have at the moment and then once done I'll show you guys the final outcome.

EDIT 2/23/2008:

Pics are up (just a few) http://usergallery.myhomegameroom.com/gallery/album276

Yeah man...the stickers ruined it.

I'd also like to see more pics when you get the mame piece set up...I'm sure that would rock with just a cheaper PC loaded to the gills with games. SF Rush would rock on something like that.

That's pretty slick. I don't like racing games enough to get a wheel or anything, but that looks awesome for racing fans.

The fan is to keep the 360 cool.

I kid, I kid (sort of).

I would love to have a racing setup someday. My racing skills suck without playing on a wheel/pedals system.

I would like to have something like that. But I don't know if my wife, and my daughthers, would let me enjoy that.

No it is there to keep him cool when he drives. He is a little obsessed.
