Are these GH tournaments judged strictly on score or does performance come into play? The Rock Band tournament mentioned a few weeks ago seemed to include performance aspects.

Depends on however they feel like setting it up - most of them go by pro face-off highest score single elimination.Originally Posted by edstein

So, for all those people that wanted to return their Wii version of GH3 back to Activision/Nintendo to get the new Stereo copy, you can. That's all fine and dandy, you can do it until August something 2008.
However, they now have decided to be offering full refunds. Activision apologizes for their mono-'mistake', and is offering that if you send everything back, they will give you a full refund after 3-4 weeks.
I'm considering this, just because I have become a bit of an xbox 360 fanboy, and it'd be nice to have two guitars for a console finally. That is, returning my Wii version, and using the money to buy the 360 version. But I'm not really sure. I play my 360 a lot more (including RB and GH2), and I'm a bit of an achievement nut sometimes, cause I enjoy the challenges, they bring more to a game.
Anyone else thinking about it? (link: click.)

Man, I'm growing more and more dissatisfied with the Wii version because I think it's a bit buggy and now that I have a PS3, I'm considering this deal (don't have a 360).
Anyone know what kind of issues the PS3 version had?

I just picked up GH3 for Wii today. I have played it at a friend's house before, but something doesn't seem right. As I remember it, on Easy and Medium, the songs only used the first 3 buttons (Green, Red, Yellow). Then when you moved up to Hard, it added Blue, and then Expert it added Orange. I just played a song on Medium with my version, and it was throwing alot of blues at me. Is this right? Is there some setting I have to set to get the blue to not come into play until Hard? Or am I just remembering my friend's game wrong?

You're remembering it wrong. Medium brings in the blue notes, and hard brings in the orange.Originally Posted by Joxer

I definitely would have considered that - I already sent in for my replacement disc, though. I suppose I could try out the replacement and if I'm still not happy send the whole package back.

I'll admit I'm a pretty tough out, but far from unbeatable - I can't play as well standing up. And if scorehero legends like pope and kev show up I'm toast.Originally Posted by REL77

This sucks, my buddy lent me the wireless guitar and worked fine all night. Turned my 360 off, and turned it back on and now no matter what I do, I can't get the wireless guitar to come on. Do I need to do anything special? I tried putting in fresh batteries and removing and re-connecting the neck of the guitar. Is the guitar supposed to turn on when you plug the 360 in?
I don't feel like buying a new guitar for somebody else. It wasn't dropped or banged around, just as simple as shutting down the 360 and turning it back on like 10 minutes later and its not working.

Not sure what exactly this means, but for the wireless guitar to turn on, you have to hold down the Xbox button until it lights up on the guitar just like any other wireless controller.Originally Posted by ElementZ

Good news, I got it working. Not sure if this is the norm for the other wireless guitars, but I had to hold down the Xbox button AND the start button and it comes on no problem.

What wireless guitar do you have if not the Les Paul for the 360?

hard = the suck
I thought things were going pretty well until I transitioned from medium to hard. Feel like I'm starting all over again. Stupid addicting game.

Anyone send in their Wii GH3 disc to the replacement program for Activision? It's been about 2 weeks for mine and I'm hoping it comes in the 3 week time period they stated.

I know what you mean Prakis. I have been doing well on Medium, 5* on every song except for 5-6 on the last 2 tiers. Tried hard, and couldnt even beat the first song.
