I'm ok with the Aerosmith game. They are one of the few bands where I like the majority of their albums/tracks. With the exception of every track on Just Push Play I enjoy pretty much everything they have done. Since I haven't liked much of the DLC for Rock Band so far I will just save all the cash I thought would be using for Rock Band tracks and put it toward this game.

I'll probably pick this up. Aerosmith has so many good songs, and they don't all sound the same, a la AC/DC (That would kick ass too, lol). I don't think there are too many bands that they could do a whole disc of (with that many 'popular' songs)...maybe Van Halen, KISS, Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, and the Beatles. I bet there will be 35-ish Aerosmith songs, and 15-18 'influenced by' songs. I just wish this was a Rock Band project instead of GH.

Everyone is so quick to throw that out there without giving it an ounce of thought. As I posted in the Rock Band thread, Harmonix put out GH(11/05), GHII(11/06) and GH: 80's(7/07) in an 18 month span. If three games in a year in a half isn't "milking" it to begin with I don't know what is.

I like 'Sweet Emotion' but that's mostly because I love Dazed & Confused.

I think The Beatles are the only band where I dig tons of their songs. Though there are a lot more bands I'd rather see than Aerosmith.

Wasn't GH 80's banged out just to meet a contractual obligation with Activision? It was certainly a half-assed effort.

This is correct. Also, all three of those titles were originally made for PS2, which didn't have the option of DLC. Releasing another game was the only way they could get more songs out there. I don't think that people would be pulling the "milking card" if Activision/Neversoft were going the DLC route with this content instead of releasing new discs.

Aerosmith doesn't seem like the kind of band that would provide much of a challenge on guitar. They should come out with a punk/metal version that has more stuff like Dragonforce. This sounds like it would end up like that 80s game which blew nutsacks.

I didn't see it mentioned in the article, but this is a 2007 version of the song, in case anyone was wondering. It should be interesting to see how many of those make it into the game itself as opposed to the originals.
