Jut picked it up. Will play when I get home and report back my opinions. If anyone else care to play online send me a friends invite.

I thought this didn't come out until next week?
Best buy's website lists the release as 2/12.

I definitely want to pick this up but with Lost Odyssey coming out next week, it'll probably be a while. I enjoyed the PS2 game and the 360 demo.

Best Buys website lists the time they will receive the game. Other retailers have received it today, others will get it tomorrow. I will be picking up the game most likely this weekend.

I got this today as well. If you wanna throw down some online matches, hit me up later after I've assembled a decent deck.

I picked it up today. Just started playing it this evening.

So far it is fun - albeit a little slow.

What are the improvements over the PS2 version besides slightly better graphics and online play? I might have to wait on this one, even if it is a budget title.

Not much, really. Achievements are a big addition for some gamers. Other than that, updated graphics and online seem to be the big points.

I also picked this up today, couldn't pass up the $40 price point seeing as I really enjoyed the demo. Someone told me that most online matches will last around ~2 hours any truth to this? I'm not going to get a chance to try it tonight, but will be playing tomorrow.

I imagine it could. Some of my games against the computer ran 45 minutes or so and that is the first one or two stages (ie. smaller boards).

According to some things i have read online you can setup online matches to have a lower win condition and thereby make the matches shorter (in the 45 minute to an hour range).

I have now put many hours into the game and have unlocked 3 achievements for a total of 15 points.

I have gotten the fire and earth achievement. The water one is sucking so far because it is another 3 player match.

Yeah, its going to be a tough 1000k to get, but I gotta say, so far I like it. Then again, after 5 hours played, I am 5/1000.

I played my first games online today and got promptly beaten down. Would love to play some games against you folks. I added the folks in this thread, feel free to do the same for me.

Browsing some of the forums it appears there are some scary diehard Culdcept players out there. I imagine my online games will all be among friends.

In single player mode do you have instant access to all cards, or do you earn them as you play through the game? And is there local multiplayer?

You earn them in game. You begin with a starter deck and play a match. If you lose you gain 5 cards and if you win you gain 9 cards. So even playing a long game to a loss allows you to still gain cards.

I'm not sure on the local multiplayer stuff, i have never checked.
