I made a thread in the Other forum and I forgot about this thread. Here it is for all to see if they dont journet to the other forum like I rarely do:

I did a VIDEO tour of my Custom built Aquarium and put it on Youtube....

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ive been sick the past few days and got bored so I got creative and did a vid for the first time. I also put it on youtube for laughs. I mainly made it for the newt and aquarium enthusiasts I know and helped me (by supplying animals and plants, and tips) build my custom aquarium

Sorry its not clear and if the music annoys you, its from a digital camera and I did right before the battery died. Its not as clear as others can do but should be fun.

Video:

On a side note, how do I insert the image of the vid to play in the thread (like the trailer on pg 1)?
I actually thought of playing that Endless Ocean music in the trailer and in all those clips on IGN for laughs

Just put the youtube id of the video (everything after "v=" in the URL) in [yt] tags.

I like it a lot so far. It's sort of silly, but it's relaxing and a surprise. The ocean is big. Quite big.

You can communicate in online co-op, but it's with pre-selected phrases like "Follow me," or "Look at that," etc.

Anyone around here playing Endless Ocean still?

My wife bought it a while back. I didn't think I would like it as much as I do, but it's really addictive. I put in about 20 hours and got far enough into the storyline to trigger an ending credits sequence, but there is still a LOT of gameplay left, with finding treasure and the different creatures, some of which only show up in certain months of the year. This game has some of the better graphics I've seen on the Wii. I'm playing it on a 10' projection screen in my theater with surround sound. The game is REALLY immersive, especially when a massive whale swims above you.

Most of the reviews kind of downplayed the story part of the game, but it is there, even if it doesn't force you to follow it. This is one of the better Wii exclusive titles in my opinion.

I haven't tried the online portion yet, because I don't know anyone else who has the game, but it sounds like it would be fun diving with another person.

This game would also be good for younger kids too since you can just swim around and interact with the fish, and there is no danger at all.

Also, anyone here played Everblue 2 for the PS2? It is made by the same company. I wonder if it's worth tracking down a used copy.

I want to pick this up, but I'll probably wait until it's 20 or 15.

Agreed on the $20 price point. Too much other stuff to play right now anyway.

Never heard of this game until I found this thread. I was thinking it reminded me of Everblue 2 for the PS2.

Since I haven't played Endless Ocean, I can't compare, but I LOVED Everblue 2 (at least, years ago when it came out). It had some RPG elements that were interesting and that I wasn't expecting. There's a coastal town you navigate by cursor where you can enter shops, talk to people, and obtain "missions".

The shops have equipment upgrades and you can sell some of your treasure back at a pawn shop. Diving is done on an a world map accessible from your boat. Certain depths aren't available until you have a certain amount of equipment. Graphics are okay, but they get kind of repetative - although some of the shipwrecks and stuff are pretty impressive when you navigate with a flashlight.

I can't remember for sure, but unlike Endless Ocean, I think Sharks will attack you if you get too close and don't have repellant.

Endless Ocean looks like a superior title over all, and I doubt you'll find much new in Everblue 2. If you can find it for five bucks though, it's pretty fun.

I'm thinking I might have to grab a Wii now and pick this game up. As a midwesterner, I really like immersing myself in these ocean environments, since I rarely get the chance in real life.

Nausicaa, thanks a lot. I'm going to track down a copy of Everblue 2.

The games sound very similar. In Endless Ocean you occasionally get new equipment like air tanks or diving suits when you go to your boat on the surface. Endless Ocean also has some nice looking shipwrecks and an old WWII fighter plane. You also have a dive light for night dives.
