We've had quite a few Guitar Hero tournaments on my campus before, it's just a matter of time for Rock Band.

That's the problem with bar-type contests. My wife did a karaoke one a while back where the grand prize was a trip to Hawaii or something. On skill alone she smoked everyone there. No contest. So the drunk jackass with no talent acting a fool won.
