I knew it was smaller than the original Xbox. That has to be the ugliest console by far (and the biggest according to that chart). I was pleasantly surprised when I first set up the PS3. The design is very nice.

I could care less what they look like as long as the games are fun. I don't think the 360 is a bad design. It looks better then the Foreman Grill PS3 I have on top of it.

Yes I know I may be pushing my luck with one hotbox on top of another but....

Yeah, it is a hideous machine. I was hoping for a quick redesign.

Do you have a chart with the weights of each system?

Because the PS3 feels like the heaviest console yet.

I would never dream of putting the PS3 on top of any other unit. (smoosh factor)

I clean the thing once a week to no avail... It just stays smudged.

I cannot find one - prices, sizes, but not weights.

However according to Amazon, it looks like both the 40G PS3 box and 360 Premium boxes weigh 15 pounds.

This is with an internal power supply too, imagine if the 360 PSU was internal.

As much as the PS3 gets crap (and deservedly so) I think it's the nicest looking black system yet. It looks expensive, not like the Xbox or the PS2. And it doesn't look like a toy.

(The Wii design is damn nice too, I have to admit).

It actually has a small nuclear reactor powered by trash.

Heavy is good, heavy is reliable. If it doesn't work you can always hit them with it.

If the 360's power brick was built in, I think it would be just as heavy as the PS3.

On a serious note, I love the PS3 look and feel compared to the 360, but I think the PS3 controller feels a lot cheaper than the 360 controller.

I don't have an issue with the lightness/"cheap feel" of the PS3 pad, think it feels alright, I'm just not a fan of the layout, the analog positions have an unnatural feel to them.

Feels like the classic PS2 to me, but I never had an original xbox, went from PS2 to a 360 only a couple months ago and now recently a PS3. So I never got use to the xbox controller.

To the extreme. Ugh, I hate that poor glossy design.

I'm a fairly big hater of the controller. I do however love the weight of it. I really like how light it is.

One thing I have really grown to hate is the controller for DVD/BD playback. I'll toss the controller on the coffee table and 9 times out of 10 it will bump another controller or remote. How is that bad? The Skip Chapter and Fast Forward buttons are mapped to the shoulder buttons... and very sensitive. You barely bump them and you are skipping through your movie. Can't even tell you how many times I've skipped chapters by doing that.

Yea I completely agree with you on that one. I need to pick up the DVD/BD remote.

If the remote had a backlight, or at the very least glow in the dark buttons I would consider it. But it has neither, and that pisses me off.

I'm hoping the Dual Shock 3 will be better. It is suppose to be heavier with the rumble. The Sixaxis would probably blow away if laid out in a strong wind.

So could you add in a Mack Truck so we can see if the PS3 really is as big as a Mack Truck?
