"Amazon Customers Vote" Holiday 2007 Ed (Items -- Wii: $79, Xbox 360: $99, PS3: $139)

http://promotions.amazon.com/gp/holi...customers-vote

How This Works
Welcome to Amazon Customers Vote! The products that get the most votes in each of six rounds will be offered to randomly selected voters at ridiculous winning prices, and the runners-up will also be offered to randomly selected voters at a smaller discount. (But they'll still be sweet deals.)
  • Step 1: Vote. Browse our six rounds of great products, and vote for the ones you’d like to buy at an amazing discount.
  • Step 2: Check back. Come back on each round's buying day to see if you were randomly selected to get a deal on the product you voted for in that round.

Keep in mind:
  • You're only eligible to be offered a deal on the products that you vote for.
  • You may vote in all six rounds on the same day if you like.
  • You cannot change your vote.
  • You must return to this page on the buying day for each round to find out whether you were randomly selected to be offered a deal on the product you voted for.
  • If you're offered a deal, be sure to check out soon, as the offer is good for a limited time only.

LET THE SLAUGHTER BEGIN!

Last I checked the Wii was trouncing the competition.

IIRC, second chance offers for the other two were $319 (PS3) and $199 (360).

Interesting....the standalone Samsung BD-P1400 1080p Blu-ray Disc Player is at 24%, Toshiba HD-A35 1080p HD DVD Player is at 45%. Of course, its MSRP is also higher.
Looks like in most cases the product with the highest markdown is winning, except for, notably, the Wii.

Am I wrong in thinking that the only thing the new 360 tard pack needs is a hard drive?

Last year it was first come first serve on who got what... seems this year, they will randomly select people that voted for the deal to have a shot. So the odds might be a little more in your favor.... but considering the number of voters and the number of available items... might as well start !

Yep. The Core was the 'Tard Pack.' Now the Arcade bundle is officially the "RROD Replacement Pack."

Was anyone actually able to purchase an item during this Holiday Vote last year? I remember it being a colossal fuck up and like no one was able to get one.

I remember that horrible thing last year. I went to the page, refreshed, and it took forever to load, and when it finally did load, it was all gone.

Nope. I didn't even bother. I just knew it would be a cluster fuck. Turned out I'm glad I didn't waste my time.

This years method sounds a whole lot better.

I take it that it would pretty much be pointless to vote for the PS3 at this point. I'd totally buy one finally at that price if I could.

Wow, I just saw the tallies. I can't believe the PS3 isn't winning. That's a damn shame.

It's because you can walk in anywhere and buy a PS3 where Wii's are harder to find.

That's too bad, a PS3 would be great at that price.

That was more aimed at the people that think there is sort of a false demand of the Wii

True, I just think the PS3 is the better deal overall.

The PS3 is the best deal imo, which means it won't win of course, simply because everybody wants a Wii.

How do you see what the current voting totals are after you have voted?
