I didn't have any problem with it. I'd have to play again and really focus on it to realize the exact timing I used, but I believe you hold down A as you hit the ground, hold it for a bit, then release.

Prime's ranked a little higher than it should be - I think at the time, people were mostly shocked that a 3-D Metroid didn't suck.

Prime was one of the most amazing games I've ever played. I would like to see RE4 move up the list a bit though.

More interesting that Nintendo has the top 3 and 4 of the top 10.

Finally got some quality time in with the game tonight...from 8 stars to 25 stars.

Simply put, the game went from...hey, this is really cool...to holy shit, this is fucking amazing. I especially loved the Space Junk Galaxy and the Battlerock Galaxy. I'm only about 1/4 through, and it's already my favorite platformer (no qualifications or disclaimers) ever.

I'm not disputing that it was amazing - but top-3?

I don't see why not...it's certainly in that tier where it's completely subjective what's better than what. To this day, it hasn't been surpassed for first person platforming IMO, and it had an amazing environment, an epic story, creative bosses, and beautiful graphics for its time.

Still, I'm not sure it's in my top 3. That would be Mario Galaxy (based on what I've seen so far), Twilight Princess (replacing OOT), and RE4:WE. I'm not even sure Prime is my favorite Metroid. I think that would be Super Metroid.

That said, and back on topic, Galaxy is exactly where it belongs from what I've seen so far.

Just got 60 stars before even heading to the last dome. I'm going to go to the last dome and play some levels before I move on though.

I couldn't resist. I just beat Bowser. Good, fun battle, but I think the bosses in this game were pretty easy. I don't remember dying once on them.

I'm kind of okay with that. The comet challenges and some of the Wiimote levels have killed me enough.

I've got 80 stars now, but I haven't taken the time to beat it yet. I'm just taking each galaxy as I get to it and getting as many stars as I can before moving on.

I have a spoiler for anyone trying to collect all the stars prior to beating the game. However, I'm not sure about the validity yet. Has anyone gotten a crown on one of the levels with 3 stars to start? This may concern that.

I'm reading the SMG thread over at GAF, an I just learned that there is a homing attack i this game. I'm almost 30 stars in, and I haven't known that the entire time.

There's a homing attack? I beat the game, and I never knew that.

Yeah, you apparently jump and press the Z button and do the spin attack at the same time.

This is probably one of the best platform games I ever played. But where is Luigi? I tell you where he is. Luigi sold out Mario to King Koopa. You see Luigi is in love with Princess Peach. So since he couldn't have her no one could. I'm going beat the living mushroom out of Luigi when I see him.

I'm having a hell of a time finding the hidden star in the Honey Hive Galaxy. Also, having a tough time finding the 3rd Luigi star. Any help?

EDIT: Nevermind, they are one and the same. And I found it. Yay.

About the homing attack, you actually, you jump in the air, do a spin attack, and while you're spinning then press the Z button really quick.

I have the game. But the better half has been playing Zach and Wiki for the last 2 hours damnit.

I used the homing attack, but it doesn't home all that well. I'll stick to normal attacks.

I am so addicted to this game. It just gets better with each new galaxy! Some of the levels and puzzles are absolutely mind bending, in a good way! One of my most favorite galaxies, so far, is the Ghostly Galaxy. Just awesome! My favorite boss battle, so far, is with Bouldergeist!

This game is why everyone should own a Nintendo Wii. It is that great of a game. I can't say enough great things about it. By far, this is my favorite Mario game!

Allright I need help with the first Boss. I know you have to spin attack his rock tail so that it hits him. My problem is..once he gets hit..he gets faster..and I just can't seem to runaway.
