Anyone else having problems with Madden 2008 for the Xbox 360 freezing up.

Playing franchise mode and have just beaten the superbowl with the Packers (go pack go). But now that I went through the draft and have traded for players and have started the next season it seems to freeze up after playing the first game. I also have tried to simmulate the game to see if it can get past this and it still freezes.
Had been suggeted to unplug the hard drive and use a memory card, but that still did not fix the problem.
The game was purchased new and actually has not even left the drive since it was purchased, so there are no scratches on the disc either.

Any suggestions?

This is a new xbox 360, they have alreay buried my first one.

Yeah, I thought that too before my Refurb(2nd 360) Died on me....

I was playing halo2 fri & it locked up on me 3 times! I looked at my wife and said," Dead 360 walkin....". she looked at me and said,"WTF!". I said,"Oh nuttin, dear...I love you!". played again for a long time yesterday.....and no lockup? maybe I scared the 3red rings away?.....(Crossing fingers, hoping my 360 does not die until after I have had at least one marathon weekend of Halo 3!!!!)
