Playing around with it, I'm really liking how much lighter the system is. I also like the various media playback options.

As for the PS1 games, it's really cool to have them at your fingertips, but be wary of their size. I put 3 on there and that basically wiped out my 1 GB stick. I don't use my PSP for movies or music, but if I did, those games would be a serious drag. I'm going to have to take a look and see what kind of accessory options are available for the slimmer systems now.
The new PSP plays PS1 games? How's the compatibility of it? How do you buy them to put them on the stick? PS3 required?

All PSPs actually.
PS3 required is the kicker. You have to buy them and then transfer them to the PSP memory stick using a PS3. Definitely a deal killer for anyone without a PS3 and no intention of buying one at $500.

From what I have read the emulation is excellent on most of the titles, but they did have issues with some of the ones on the European store and had to pull them. The Japanese PSN has a ton of games available and I can only hope the US version gets half that many at some point.

After playing with the slim, I quite like it. Too bad they put that Daxter screen on the unit; if it were clear, it would have been an awesome screen protector. I'm okay with the UMD drawer but I'm a little worried that you could open it accidently. I HATE the new memory stick cover; it feels so flimsey. What was wrong with the old one?

The new one has a screen that looks brighter, but reading up, I guess it's just sharper. I like the new D-pad. It makes Tekken Dark Ressurection much more playable. It feels just a little lighter, but I guess it's enough. Strange there's no case that fits it yet; I'm just using my soft sleeve for now.

Will probably have to PM the CC deal at BB if there are no good games at CC anymore.

I just started fiddling with the Remote Play. Can't really figure it all out yet. For some reason, I always get some sort of a network error when I try to stream music off the computer onto the PS3. Is there anyway to play PS3 demos on the PSP? I'm guessing not but it would be cool if you could play some of the PSN demos. I was able to stream some movie trailers off the PS which was kinda cool. If you were really be able to use the PS3 as a DVR, this could be a really sweet feature.

The only PS3 game that currently supports remote play is Lair and even then its not completely playable.

I haven't had any major issues networking the two and was surprised at how well the HD trailers played on the lower res PSP screen. There was some lag though in moving around menus and occasionally the music will stutter.

Supposedly when the PSN store offers movies and TV shows they will play on the PSP as well. It would be nice if the US could get the DVR add on, but that seems unlikely.

Yeah, on either system.
