Guitar Hero: Which Guitar should I get?

Thanks for the help in my other thread - I decided to get a used ps2. Now that I won the auction - I need the actual software and controller - here are my questions:

1.) Will any guitar work with any game?
2.) Is one guitar style better than the others?
3.) Is wireless that much better?
4.) Is there 2 player games that I would need 2 guitars?

5.) Is any game better to start with? I was thinking of getting the 80's one first.

Again, thanks for all your help.

You could try reading through the existing Guitar Hero thread(s) and if you still have questions, post them there, instead of creating new ones for your questions...

Just a suggestion.

Just the type of helpful response I was hoping for.

Oh... well then, you're welcome!! I always try to please.

The mod for this area is a bad ass... so you wouldn't want to make him angry by creating multiple threads for the same game.... you wouldn't like him when he's angry...

In fairness, he's right. This is the second Guitar Hero thread you've created this week. You couldn't have posted in the existing thread? Or posted this in your first thread?

Ok, well I guess I should be beaten into submission. Mods, I apologize, please merge this thread with my other one.

Thanks guys, I haven't owned or played a video game in 10 years or more, then I get a little too overexcited about one and start two threads. Then, instead of a quick answer, I get the typical "search the forum" response.

I guess video game talk is the wrong forum for noobs like me.

1) if they have the PS2 hook up yes.
2) get the 1st party SG (either red/black or black/white); They do have the wireless one if you'd prefer that.
3) I dont use wireless myself, I stand right next to the TV anyways. but if you're pretty far away from your TV then it might be useful.
4) There are multiplayer options to where you'd need two guitars.
5) the only drawback to the 80s one is you cant get it with a guitar in the box. Only 1 and 2 would have that.

Thanks Dave - I can stop crying now! When you say "1st party" you mean the one that comes with the game, correct? I saw some with whammy bars, does that feature work on all the games, or just some?

Cool, you convinced me GH1 it is! But... I know about 75% of those songs, does not knowing them make it harder to play? Does the game teach thme to you?
