Virtual Boy Question
So recently one of the screens has gone haywire, the other screen still works fine but it's not in 3-D anymore with just the one screen, is there any hope of repairing this?
I don't really want to buy a used unit b/c people on e-bay are always packing in games I already have and that drives up the price, also I'm not really big on whole used by others thing.

Honestly, I doubt it. I would doubt they make replacement parts for it. As much as I know you hate the idea of it, just go ahead and buy a replacement unit.
By the way, glad I'm not the only one with a Virtual Boy.

Maybe the forums at these fan-sites could have some useful info:

The problem with calling Nintendo's Customer Service is that the website specifically says that Virtual Boy is too old for them to offer repair service on and they would likely say the same thing if you called them. This is what it says on the site:
"Virtual Boy, Other Products
Repair is No longer available
Due to the age of the system, we are unable to offer factory repair directly from Nintendo.
Although factory repair is no longer available, finding a replacement of your older product may still be a possibility, as some stores and auction sites offer used products. Click here to read some tips on where to start."
They also recommend auction sites and that's honestly probably the only solution. I was lucky enough to have a friend willing to sell his so I got a good deal but I still hit up eBay for the AC Power adapter accessory.

Who can blame them though considering it ranks as one of the biggest failures in the history of video gaming right alongside the 3DO and Jaguar. Heck, even the Dreamcast lasted longer and did better.

I wish I could have bought the Virtual Boy. I remember trying it out at Blockbuster, and thinking it was really fun. However, being at the mercy of my parents' wallets, I did not get to have one.

I nearly bought a VB, but after 15 minutes of playing the demo unit at Toy R Us I had a headache that lasted hours. I have enough trouble playing Quake II without puking. No way I could handle the VB.
