Multiple "official" threads for games - WHY?

Can't we just stick with one thread for each game?

This is adding a lot of confusion for me, and I'm sure for others. I understand the logic of people who want to discuss gameplay, but that's what the spoiler tag is for. Why make it harder on others? We don't need "The Official Release thread", "The Official gameplay thread", "the official level 2 act 4 thread" and so on.

agreed. That's why I locked the bioshock one because it wasn't necessary.

But why lock the old Bioshock thread when it already had a lot of good information in it.

My thinking was that the new one wasn't necessary - why start a second one when one is already there?

Is there any way to merge these threads as they're created? This happened for Madden, too.

That would make for some interesting reading.

Shouldn't it be the mods or someone who make a thread the 1 and only or the official thread for *blank*.

I never understood why anyone thinks they can make an Official or 1 and only thread here.... craziness I tell you.... craziness....

One thing that would help for multiple platform games is if people didn't put one platform in the subject header.

I think that's kind of silly to say the mods can be the only ones to create an "official" thread..

It basically comes down to forum etiquette. Before you post a thread about a game, search first.. If there is already a thread, don't make another one..
