Along with playing when it's light out, I have to mute scary games at times. Helps make it a bit easier to get through. :D

Agreed, it's like Gears - not the type of game I'd typically play, but the reviews and people talking it up here make me feel like I've gotta get it. At least it's single player, so I'll wait until I'm sick of Madden until I get it.

Also, reports of the Big Daddy arms being broken are running wild.

I might have to hit up CC for that deal. I am a bit shy because of the last time they had a good deal, free MS points with Guitar Hero II when it first came out, and I got screwed. Haven't shopped there since but that's mainly because I generally prefer going elsewhere.

Nice dice at my TRU tonight. Guy at the counter was holding the 21st street date party line. Oh well, I'll wait for my LE next week.

Dear god this game is hard. Whenever you go up against a Big Daddy you're lucky if you have any health packs left afterwards.

I had no interest in this game until I played the demo earlier this afternoon. Best demo I have ever played. However, that last video montage had me thinking this game was looking like it would be very difficult and complex.
What difficulty level are you playing it on?

It also looks like whether you choose to save or harvest the little sisters will play a big role in how difficult the game gets no matter what setting it is on.

I just took on my first Big Daddy and got smoked.

No framerate issues tonight. I guess I will chalk it up to the 360.

I was playing around at the beginning of the '2nd area' and it seems to be ramped up in difficulty over the first area. Maybe it's just me still tired from last night, so I gave in and quit for the evening.

I'm playing it on medium. And I've decided to rescue the little sisters, not harvest them. Even then, I still got my ass kicked by the second Big Daddy I encountered.

Isn't fighting the Big Daddies optional though? Everything I have seen and read before make it seem like the Big Daddies ignore you unless you try to harm them or a Little Sister.

Yeah. I ran past the second Big Daddy to make it to the second area. I'm on medium and saving them as well.

Wow this game is getting some amazing reviews, I am anxious to play. I want to see some benchmarks first though so I know what I should go for in my PC upgrade.

Fighting the Big Daddies are optional in that if you don't want to fight them, you don't have to. But it's not optional if you want to upgrade your abilities, because the only way to do that is to get Adam from Little Sisters.

its fairly common knowledge that each "level" contains 2-3 big daddy's....that's the point of the game.

Anyways, I second the whole difficult thing...I'm also on medium and saving the sisters. Just got into the 3rd area I guess, can't wait to play tomorrow. The game just takes so long to go through since I stop and look at every single detail.
