Hey, I have lurked here for long enough, and was wondering if I can get in on this as well. I would like to be the Bears. If people are looking for an easy victory, then I am the team you want to play.

I would take the Packers if they do have leagues...they're crappy, I'm crappy, so it should be realistic anyways.

I never play games online...what kind of connection do you typically need to have things run smoothly on the 360? I'm at 1.5 mbps down and 512 up.

We have 17 players now. Maybe up to 20?

Just got it, but can't play it until tonight.

I got the Wii version. Apparently you can't play "inter-systems," so I'm stuck playing Wii people online. Hopefully there'll be plenty online tonight -- I figured I'll fire it up and go straight online and learn to play there. Better than playing the lame computer.

I got the 360 version. First Madden I've bought in two years. Very happy, with one played game! Go Vikings!

I picked it up for the 360 at Circuit City. It came with a $25 coupon to Fans Edge, which came in handy since I was in the market for a new football jersey.

Grabbed the 360 version at TRU. Played a game over the lunch hour, and as I haven't played a Madden since 2001, it confirmed that I'm terrible

Hopefully we all suck, which will make online play not as humiliating.

No kidding. Internet people are too good. If only Tecmo Bowl was capable of an internet connection, I would have a chance. I beat my friends about 60 to 0 in that game.

I'm more of a franchise mode player than online player. So hopefully the new Madden has some cool new franchise options. I hate that they got rid of allowing you to front load contracts in last year's version.

I picked up Madden for the 360 today from Toys R' Us for $47.99 with the 20% off coupon, and got Lost Planet at $19.99 as part of the Buy Madden Get One Game 50% off deal.

Do you have a link to that 20% off coupon? I thought that was online only.

I thought Lost Planet was a $29.99 game. That's a little disappointing that it's still $40. It's a fun game though and great multiplayer.

I'm really terrible at Madden. I never really knew what defensive schemes to call in any but the most obvious situations (3rd & long, goal line ect.). Also changing the plays at the line of scrimage always messed me up. NFL 2K5 was probably the one I was best at. Still, I'd like to give this one a try.

sigh... I stared the "Official Madden 2008 Thread" to get away from people saying they "got" the game (which is what the other thread was about) and so I could get some feedback regarding the playability and features of the game.

So has anyone actually played it yet? Thoughts?

It seriously could be $29.99 at some places, but a quick check at BestBuy.com shows it still at $39.99 there. Either way, I feel good about getting it for $19.99.

I'm curious to learn more about the online features of the Wii version.
