I mentioned Kameo already.. as for Banjo, I think with Rare games you need to actually physically see it on the shelf before getting your hopes up. I mean, Kameo started as an early Gamecube title, then went to OG Xbox before finally landing on the 360.

I think the same can be said for a lot of first party Wii games

So not only are you getting features for Live on the 360 but you get chat functionality with the Wii. Sounds like true Wii60 synergy to me.

Action and/or shooter. There is hardly any platforming.

Nah. It's a mix of it all. There are plenty of jumping bits, not to mention a shit-ton of nonsense to collect. I'd say Action-Platformer.

It's a moot argument anyway since you can buy both LSW games for the Gamecube and play on the Wii.

If platforming is what the OP wants, the 360 is probably the last console to recommend. The Wii/Gamecube library is probably a safer bet, assuming he already has a PS2.

I couldn't agree with this more. With the back catalog of GC games and all the GC games being remade for the wii, I'd go with that if platformers are what you're after. Soon enough there will be tons of platform games coming out for Wii. Of course if you can imagine yourself getting into online gaming the 360 IS the only option as someone else has already mentioned and the arcade games are a blast.

Well super paper mario, sonic rings, and super mario galaxy are appealing to me the most. But one guy on here really nailed the dot when he said his friend "found rainbow six TOO hard."

Gears of War is just TOO hard for me, and I consider myself a good gamer. I'm just not good at those shooting games.

The only thing I've liked on Wii so far is Wiiplay. I don't really like Wii sports, Mario Party 8 sux, and I guess RE4 is ok if you haven't already played it a ton. It sounds like Zelda is the anomoly for single player games, but I only played that for an hour so I can't really comment personally.

One more question. The guy at best buy offered me a 2 year 60 dollar warranty. I thought automatically there is a 3 year warranty for free now from microsoft?

Are you playing on Casual? Casual is really not that bad at all. Make sure you use cover. This is not a typical run-n-gun shooter, so you can't just run straight in at the enemy. You need to use cover or the enemy will tear you apart.

The free 3 year warranty only covers RROD, which is the vast majority of the problems anyway. You can still buy the extended warranty from Microsoft that will cover all problems.

No Super Paper Mario? Zelda is a must buy. The Godfather port is a ton of fun. Mario Strikers looks to be good (haven't played it myself). I thought Excite Truck was underrated as well. And the minigames aren't bad: Rayman & Warioware are both fun.

Though I admit their releases are still pretty weak. However, I have about 5 must-buy titles on my list for this year and more that I'm interested in: Battalion Wars 2, Metroid Prime, Super Smash, Super Mario Galaxy, and Zack and Wiki.

If the 360 was $100 cheaper and didn't break so easily I'd probably go the Wii60 route. At this point, it's wait and see with the other 2 consoles.
