Yep. As long as the quality remains high I'd love to see these franchises lego-fied:
Matrix trilogy
Jurassic Park trilogy
Terminator trilogy
Halo trilogy
Hell, they could even revive the Back to the Future franchise.

I'd love to see LOTR as well. They need to kick these games out faster. I loved the SW titles but I can't see paying for the "all in 1" they have coming out soon.

I am so glad this isn't just a rumor any more, and can't wait for this and Batman next year. So it looks like it will still have 2 player co-op, but I'm guessing you'll only be able to select your sidekick for each level, except for free play.

It will suck unlocking everything again though. I wonder if they could use your save game from the previous version.

There are a couple of common elements with the licenses LEGO has made toys for--Star Wars, Spidey, Batman, Harry Potter, and Indy. They're all (mostly) family-friendly properties, based around PG- and PG-13-rated movies. And they all had (at the time) new movies coming out that the toy line could support.

But it is a Star Wars game in Lego form.
I think I understand your point -- that people like it because it's "Star Wars." That may be true: if it were some original idea, where you didn't play with Star Wars characters in a Star Wars universe, I would not be interested. But I still like the gameplay.

I've spent so much time on Lego Star Wars II, its just a game that you can pick up and play and try and get some accomplishment you haven't tried for yet. I would not want anyone but Traveler's Tales to make this game.
Also, the end of the official press release mentions the other game that apparently is still in the works:
"Meanwhile, LucasArts remains hard at work on its revolutionary, internally developed Indiana Jones videogame, which takes place a year after The Last Crusade in an original story overseen by George Lucas."

I'll still pick it up though.

It would be interesting if you could transfer over your SW or Batman characters across games for one giant mish-mash... like real legos.

Bump... in case nobody noticed it, Indy is an unlockable character in the complete saga... at least in the Wii version.
It was quite fun whipping Star Wars characters!

Am I the only one who seriously doubts there will be much replayability in this?
I mean, in Lego Star Wars, you have dozens and dozens of characters to choose from. But in this, who wants to be anyone other than Indiana Jones? It just doesn't seem as interesting.

I see what you are saying, but with the level of enjoyment i've recieved playing LSW, i'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.
Besides...why wouldn't you want to be Mola Ram? Yanking hearts out of other characters sounds like fun...

So does anyone know a release date for this yet, or should we expect to see it around the time Indy 4 is in theaters.
