Yeah we had a blast in the Versus. I think the next time we go into it we should choose the first scenario since that appears to be a little easier to learn on. Most people know the maps a bit better.

It also lets you run a smoker to the top of a building and pull people up from the roof (which is pretty cool).

Oh man, I played in a game with pretty much every cheat imaginable. I came in on the Boathouse level and they'd basically built a 100 foot tall skybridge out of crates and fence pieces from the center of town down to the house. Plus unlimited ammo, bombs, and superman jumps. It was fun maybe once, lobbing endless pipebombs from a tower of boxes next tot he boatdock, then just hopping down on the deck when the boat came, but I can't see playing like this regularly.

Of course it says something about the quality of players when even with all this, two players still managed to die. :p

Meh. I'd say after all the times the game hung me up on a broken chair or stair railing while running from a Tank, had a Smoker grab me just as I was boarding the escape vehicle or tossing a pipebomb. The Horde that attacks just before I can reload. Or all those Boomer/Smoker double teams. I deserve a freebie. :p

Just need to make sure when the boat docks someone has at least one pipe-bomb for the last "horde" that runs to the dock. Throw in the woods or even better the water. Next just pray the Tank is in the water and not on land or the dock ramp.

I don't know if you noticed when we played but you tossed one off to the left to draw the existing zombies and I tossed another one past the dock towards the house and the ones coming over the hill just stayed up there. Worked great. :up:

I love the 'save a pipebomb for the end' tactic.


So what're some of you guys favorite 'final battle' spots? So far the only one I like consistently is Dead Air, the far left (facing from the Safehouse) corner. Nice wide field of fire and no cover for Specials to sneak up on you.
Used to be right corner on the hill til last time when the first horde wave spawned through a hole in the fence right beside us and had us for lunch. :p

Right now I've got my hands full with Red Faction and have Marc looking for a bit of Horde - GOW but I need to find time for some run-thrus with some fellow Talkers. I'm not picky which map, it's all a bunch of laughs anyway. However I'm up for some Survial on the map I was shown a trick that enable us to reach 33 minutes. (get that Marc, not the lousy 2:45 mark we were getting at first).

More DLC is coming for Left 4 Dead. There going to support Left 4 Dead 1 & 2 with DLC, good news.

i got this game 2 weeks ago and it hasn't left my disc tray. damn this game is fun. i count the hours down until i can play it each day. i haven't enjoyed a game this much in a long time.

i am always looking for good guys to team up with -- it can be aggravating playing with randoms

I sold my 360 version for $48 a month after I bought it for $49 (after getting ~700/1000). Then I bought the PC version for $23. I've just found the community on the PC version is a lot better & bigger.

cool. right now since i am fairy new to the game i have just be playing through the campaigns over and over. i haven't dug into Versus or Survival yet. Maybe we can meet up this weekend sometime. peace.
