I play on PC, but I only got one round in before my pc got the RROD. I am going to build a replacement but that probably won't happen for a couple weeks.

Left 4 Dead -"Dawn of the Dead '04" PC mod.

I think it's awesome...but I still hate PC gaming and I don't feel like I missing out by not doing it. :lol:

Anyway, it sounds like it's based on a Half Life 2 mod.

I have spent alot of my Vacation playing this and I am up to almost 850 gamerpoints for left 4 dead... Damn its hard!!!

yeah I've seen you on but you're always at the end or the room is full.

Congrats on the points. I've heard that the harder modes are really tough.

Robo I can't help it if everyone wants to slay zombies with me dude!!! :lol: I have finished 2 of 4 campaigns on expert. Dead Air is proving to be a pain in my ass. That 3rd chapter SUCKS!!!! Whenever you see me on and wanna play send me a message I'll make room for ya.

BTW if your playing expert ppl... PLEASE watch the friendly fire it almost kills ya with a shot.

If you guys haven't checked the Game Commentary in the "Extras" section check it out. You play through "No Mercy" but the Infected ignore you and focus on the other characters. The cool thing is you can still freely kill Infected as much as you want. :D:up:

Anyway, throughout the levels there are 'commentary balloons' scattered about and as you come up to them, you put your reticule on them and hit 'use' and various people who worked on the game give you audio commentary on different aspects of the game and its development. It's very interesting so check it out if you have some time.

No. And there's no achievements. It's single player; in fact, you're not really playing the level as much as walking through it activating the usual "horde moments" like the elevator at Mercy and "commentary bubbles". All the infected ignore you and go after the other 3 survivors.

For those that haven't heard. L4D is gonna have some DLC soon.

Left 4 Dead DLC news coming "shortly" to PC, 360

Left 4 Dead was easily one of the most exciting PC releases of the year and has kept most of us blasting zombies with friends well through the holidays. But as good as the stock game is, some Team Fortress 2-style downloadable content will surely make it better, and Valve has revealed that the first batch of Left 4 Dead DLC will be revealed "shortly."

Valve's Chet Faliszek, one of the writers for the company's games, revealed during a Kotaku podcast that more content for the zombie co-op game was on the way. "One of the things we're going to be announcing really shortly is some DLC on the PC and 360," Faliszek revealed. "We'll be having the other two versus maps and some other stuff." More details about the content will be coming once the holiday season passes.

Given the game's modular design, where each "movie" is more or less a standalone experience, patching in some new levels into the game in the form of new "movies" seems like a surefire bet for the kind of content Valve could be planning. We'll have more details on what the company actually plans to do as they become available.


Looks like there will be support for Versus mode on the other two campaigns. A new Campaign. New Weapons... Hint of a Flamethrower. and New Bosses!!!!

Thanks for the heads-up, I'll have to check that out. Is it all 5 chapters of the scenario? I wonder what happens if you fall off one of the buildings...

From what Robo said the AI is still playing so I guess they will save you once you respawn. I guess.

Very excited for the upcoming DLC. I'm happy with the game as is, so anything extra is just awesome!

Well, that's the thing. It goes all the way to the Helipad on top of Mercy but for some reason, I couldn't call the helicopter after my 1st radio response. I'm not sure if this was a glitch or intentional.

Either way I think I had found most if not all of the Bubbles so I just ended it.


Yeah try it out. I didn't want to spoil the commentary bubbles because some of them do things to the game that are fun and interesting.
