Enemy Territory Quake Wars BETA

The keys for the first 5 days were just for paying subscribers but now you can get a key even if you are a free subscriber. They do run out so you should get one now. It is a followup to the Wolfenstein one and is multiplayer only. Go here to get your key

There actually is some single player gameplay, although it is just basically the multiplayer game with bots.

Not sure if this beta allows you to play against bots, but I have played against them and they aren't too shabby. The medics even do stuff like kill their own team mates and revive them just for the xp.

Oh, and during warmup matches they will even run around firing at their team mates and other random shit.

More apt comparision i should have put would have been an Unreal Tournament game. Mostly multiplayer with bot matches thrown in :P

Downloading the fileplanet beta now. I haven't had a chance to play this beta yet, but if you are running on an ATI board I just want to apologize in advance. The good news is that the July drivers ATI is releasing will be much better for ETQW, especially if you are running on XP.

I've played it for about 5 1/2 hours, and I'm liking it so far.

So a bit over a year out and this game is now $6 at Big Lots (PC edition -- was trying to find the $399 laptop and $49 iPod/DVD/divx portable video player. Wound up leaving with Quake Wars, Bubba Ho-Tep, Dirty Work, and 3 anime DVDs for $20... I need to swing by that shithole more often).

Anybody still playing?
