Just use Google Image Search.

I think your best bet might be to use google image search. I'm surprised no one mentioned the obvious yet. Strange.

I got tired of the mixed results, hence why everyone you know says to use the image search feature.

The easiest way would be to acquire the game and the system that played said game. Hook the game up through a tv-capture-enabled PC (you may need to buy some new hardware for this). Launch whatever program will show the system's image on the PC and has screenshot feature. Play the game until you get to the point that has the image you want to capture and hit the shortcut key combination for taking a still image in the aforementioned program (typically something like F11 or Ctrl-Shift-S).

That'd be the easiest way.

no, the easiest way to do what you describe would be through an emulator run on the PC. For example, Nesticle has a screen capture feature, and I'm sure the others do as well.

Wikipedia sometimes has screenshots of older games, if you're looking for something in particular.
