The Costco pack includes Xbox Live Arcade Unplugged, includes the following:
- Geometry Wars Evolved
- Bejeweled 2 Deluxe
- Wik: Fable of Souls
- Hardwood Backgammon
- Outpost Kaloki X
- Texas Hold’em

The key to Costco is the "warranty". Did you ask if it was part of the 90-day return policy? If it is not, than you are saving $60 by not having to buy a warranty.

(I did notice that in my Costco, the price had the "*" by it, which means that bundle will not be restocked. If you don't like the arcade games, uou might want to wait and see which bundle replaces it)

The arcade disc goes for $20 new so it can definitely be found cheaper as well if you wait for a different bundle.

I have waited a long time and today I want to buy it. So if they restock it good. I am specifically getting the membership so that I can return the 360 if something goes wrong. if that does not work then I will buy it from BB and their E.W. If I buy from CC, then I get the extra controller, howevr, thier E.W you have to mail the box and then they mail you back a Gift card. I would like to have the ability to go to the store and return the box and walk out with a new one. That is the only thing holding me from buing from CC.
Can someone confirm how many times does BB let you return the 360. I have two more hours so hurry

Thanks

Once.

The warranty covers one replacement. It is tied to the serial number so when you get a new system you have to purchase a new warranty specific to that system.

Who ever has the best deal (when waiting for a price drop) or if a retailer has a bonus disc or item exclusive to them, I will usually go with that.

My used purchases, always from EB/GS.

Whether they restock it is irrelevant to their return policy. They'll just give you cash back if you want. Even if the price drops later, if you return it, you'll get back the price you paid.

Ok, so I got my premium yesterday and I am excited. I have not bought any games yet, tight on the budget. However I had a few questions as I am new to this. I downloaded the demo for Forza 2 last night as I wanted to play something before I went off to sleep.but I must say that it was very difficult to play the demo. I could not controll the car at all, I found it very difficult. I don't know if that game is made that way to be difficult or it was me. I played burnout revenge demo, but did not find it as difficult, at least I was able to drive fast and be on the road. Help!!!

Also, I cannot dowload any tv episodes right, because they are not free correct?

Any other tips that you guys can give me would be great.

Lastly thank you all for your help, finally 2 years late but in the xbox club.

Thanks

haha, sorry to laugh, but I had to coach a few people on how to play Forza

It might seem difficult, but it's really not. You're probably grounded in the arcade-type racers like Need For Speed.

The biggest problem I see with people and these types of games are

1. WAY too much speed coming into turns. You're not driving an F1 car, so don't try it. Turning on the driving aid line (FULL LINE) can be a help to get into swing of things

2. Remember, the triggers are analog, as a normal foot pedal would be. Any friction used for turning can't be used for slowing down the car, and vice versa. What that means is, coming in "hot" into a turn and trying to slam on the break is going to cause your car to slide out of control. The trick is, when you want to change directions, do it lightly at first.

3. similar to the last point, you don't want to floor it out of turns, for the same reason. Start with a little gas, then slightly add more while the turn straightens out

Forza 2 is a racing SIM, i.e. uber-realistic.

Burnout is an arcade style racer where most everything is completely preposterous.

Some stuff on the marketplace is free, you just have to watch for it. There was an episode of South Park that was free. I noticed some surfing show was free on there the other day.

Other advice: Download the Pac-Man:CE demo. :) Actually you should be able to set your system to download every arcade demo available. That should keep you busy while you don't have a retail game.

Thanks, I will have to get a hang of it driving slow. I will keep your tips in mind.

KurrptSenate 06-15-07 09:19 AM

well, that's the thing. You would consider that "slow" at first, but honestly, that's how you post the best lap times.

Depending on your driving style, you might like to have the highest exiting speed possible, or setting up for a turn, coming out with the best line, and be able to hammer the throttle as quickly as possible.

It takes a little to get used to following the best line, or even plotting your own

For the past 4 years I've been buying my games from any of these four places: Target, Walmart, Best Buy, and Circuit City.
I stick to B&M's for all my videogames (and movies, for that matter) purchases. Get in, get out. I prefer instant gratification.
