How many hours a week do you play video games?

Retired
On average, probably about 5-10. Not much time with grad school, social live/girlfriend and a few other hobbies I spend more time on than games. Not enough hours in the day.
It does go up if a get really sucked into a game. Like last fall I played through Okami and Zelda: TP back to back, and was probably in the 20-25 hour a week range on those as I just couldn't pull myself away.

My 360 blog shows I have played for something like a 21 day streak here recently and that is with no real new games coming out. I played probably about 2 hours each night last week. Between POTC and my Guitar Hero II game save getting corrupted I kept pretty busy. The number should increase here soon when some new games come out and when all the people who work for me come back from vacation. Been too busy to really relax lately.

I'm going to say 10 hours a week, lately. I went through a Halo 2 spurt for a while where I ( & the wife) played for about 3 hours a night. Last year, from April to September, I played more Oblivion than hours worked, and I work 49 hours a week, lol.

I don't keep track, but I would say I play somewhere between 20-30 hours a week, sometimes more if a new game just came out.
Not having a social life outside of work and not being married or having kids = me having lots of spare time!!
Like the guy before me said, when Oblivion first came out, I was completely and utterly addicted. I was seriously putting in 10 hours a day on that game during the week and on weekends with no work or anything else to do, I was playing it almost the entire weekend non-stop. That lasted for almost a month.

My wife gave birth to our first son nearly 3 weeks ago, so my game playing has dropped to nearly 0 hours per week. Prior to that (since buying my Wii in Feb.) I spent about 10-14 hours a week. Prior to the Wii, I'd spend about 5-7 hours a week on my DS.
Oh.. and my son was born at 13:37... I think he's Leet.

I probably put in 3-4 hours on work days and more on weekends/non-work days.. So I'd probably say 30-40+, depending on what else is going on.
Should've been a poll..

I can go weeks at a time without playing a game at all. And then I could play for a few weeks straight playing between 10-30 hours. I play more during the winter.

Congratulations. Hopefully he grows up to be like a gamer like you so you have more excuses for the wife to buy more games.

Im lucky if I get in 5-7 these days, the gym has sucked me in and I spend many hours there weekly while making sure to get enough sleep nightly, and with a wife and desire to go out once and a while... it gets tough
Combined with the other things I do when inside, like internet surfing, watching dvds, and catching up on my HDdvr recordings... you can see where the time goes

While school is on... about 3-5 hours a week (mostly DS).
During the Summers... about 15-20 hours (all platforms).

This heavily varies.
Right now, it's at zero hours a week. I'm not playing anything. Other times, it could be 20-30 hours a week (a rarity for me; happens when one of those "can't put down" titles comes out). Sometimes, it could be a few hours on a holiday (party games).
Basically, my game playing persona makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. It all depends on time available, what I'm interested in, etc.
I'm going through a drought lately where I don't feel like playing at all.
