I've got a Q for the PPL experts... I've never played this game or any of the varients. I checked out a video on IGN, and it appears to be very similar to bejeweled: you are always swapping 2 tiles to make 3 or more in a row.

Been playing Puzzle Quest for a while now, and think I might be kind of worn out on that kind of game play. Is PPL really all that different and worth checking out?

A bit difference between this and Bejeweled is that you don't just swap two tiles that make a match of 3 or more. You can swap them around anywhere at any time so you can set up big combos etc.

I've not played puzzle quest so I can't compare to that.

You also can only move tiles horizontally. You can drop tiles though by sliding it out of a taller stack into a hole and the single tile will fall to the bottom.

I picked this up a few days ago, having never played a Panel de Pon/Puzzle League game before, and I'm really liking it. Tons of modes - which I didn't actually expect - and I particularly like the Daily Play mode. It gives me some motivation to play it at least a bit each day. I'll post my code tonight once I get home.
