What is the best DDR pad?

What is the best DDR pad? I'm looking for durability most of all, and accuracy. Thanks

Seems like that is a tough answer to nail down.

I just got into the game so I am sticking with the pads that come with the game until I get good enough that the higher end pads are worth it.

How do you stay in the center? I have the pad that came with the game and most of the time I don't hit notes it's because I've slid either up down left or right (mostly up).

well.. you could tape your pad down, which is something a lot of players with soft mats do, or you could invest a pretty penny in a better ddr pad

the best ones are (arguably) the "cobalt flux " and "red octane" pads, they're both very durable, responsive, and comfortable to play on. However if you're just starting I don't recommend this purchase... theres also the option of playing you know... in an arcade... on an actual ddr machine
