Strange, I've been enjoying Crackdown since it came out, and just now I found out that it's overrated and has no staying power. Guess I have to sell it now. :sad:

I enjoyed Crackdown a lot, I never even played the Halo 3 beta. You really need to play the full game before you bash it. Although I don't think the game has a lot of staying power, the game is really addicting to start, and I think it had enough to it that made it worth the purchase.

ummm... where are you posting? an online message board of DVD-obsessed members who go as far as to mock up their oen DVD-cover art... are you on some type of high horse?

Yeah I read it, I was just putting it out there, I was planning on renting it from Gamefly once the beta was over.

I played a bunch last night to relax. I have to say, orb hunting is really fun and relaxing to me. It's starting to take the place of UNO for me in that way.

Crackdown is a good game. It's very, very, VERY repetetive, and that's the downside. There's no 'missions' or anything like that with variety, such as in GTA. No, here it's just kill, kill, kill. And especially once you power yourself up a lot, the game is rediculously easy. I don't know if I'll play it again since I've beaten it... but it sure did give me a great week or so.

Good points, but turn it off "easy/tough" and give "psychotic" a chance. You will change your mind on that rediculously easy comment.

I spent 40 minutes on Wang's tower the other night on Psychotic before I hooked up with a co-op partner and it still took another 20 to get it done.

personally, I find Crackdown to be much better than the Halo 3 beta it contained, so I'll be keeping mine until I break 1000 gamer points on it. Much more fun then the 2 rounds of Halo 2 err I mean Halo 3 I played ;)

Same here. I'll buy Halo 3 for the single player game but I doubt I'll play online much.

Crackdown is still one of my favorite games of the past year or so.
